Site Quality Inspector

The purpose of the Site Quality Inspector is to ensure that roof installations are done in accordance with the required specifications and safety standards as specified by the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all products supplied to customers are according to prescribed specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect material being installed to ensure that it conforms to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Read and understand blueprints and specifications to ensure the roof installation is correctly installed.
  • Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to the installation process in line with quality assurance.
  • Inspect, test, and approve the installation was done correctly and safety is not compromised.
  • Ensure Product Standards are adhered to and perform routine inspections.
  • Investigate and prepare Non-Conformance Reports on defective products and Goods Returned Notes.
  • Investigate Non-Conformances and implement corrective measures.
  • Respond to and resolve queries/complaints from customers.
  • Inspect Profiles.
  • Perform tests requested to ensure quality and durability of products as required by the customer or management.
  • Problem solve on quality matters.
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and use feedback for continuous improvement on Quality Control.
  • Submit technical reports on all site inspections for the week to the Tactical Manager.
  • Inspect concealed fix roofs for guaranteed purposes.
  • Liaise with customers daily.
  • Provide on-site training before new projects start.
  • Perform quality checks in the factory.
  • Inspect roofs requiring working at heights.
  • Continuous improvement on quality procedures to minimize customer complaints.
  • Provide in-house training as required.
  • Perform wind uplift tests on the test bed in-house.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector in the Plastic Injection Moulding Department is responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with industry specifications. This role includes assessing the quality of incoming materials/products, in-process products, and finished items, ensuring that defective products are identified and corrective actions are recommended.

Responsibilities:

Product Inspection:

  • Perform regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify they meet established quality standards.

Process Monitoring:

  • Monitor and document injection moulding processes to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.

Defect Identification:

  • Identify defects or deviations from specifications, document findings, and report to the Quality Control Team Leader.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including product samples and any non-conformance findings.

Testing Procedures:

  • Conduct and document standard tests, such as dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests, using precision measuring equipment (e.g., gauges).

  • Develop and maintain quality control records, including documentation of test results, inspection reports, and corrective actions taken.

Personnel Management: Responsible to lead, motivate and train subordinates

Customer Service: Responsible for customer inquiries regarding product quality and providing resolutions to customer complaints.
