Experience:

  • Trackless board and pillar mining experience min of 5 years.

    A leading industrial company is looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor for their Cold Store / Logistics / Dispatch Department in Mahikeng . This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute individual to drive operations by supporting the Shift Manager and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, correct loading and receiving of stock, system accuracy, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of receiving, pallet allocation, and stock flow in a cold storage environment and be able to manage and motivate a shift team to ensure productivity and compliance. If you have a minimum of Matric (Grade 12) and the ability to work in a cold environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Ensure correct stock is loaded per customer order with accurate documentation. Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by employees. Conduct hourly inspections of the holding room, racking system, and temperature controls. Schedule and coordinate trucks with a third-party transport company and monitor loading schedules. Maintain daily housekeeping, safety, and hygiene standards. Oversee and inspect the loading area, trucks, forklifts, and reach trucks daily. Ensure all cold store files, records, and reports are up to date and accurate. Ensure daily balances between two specified systems. Participate in weekly and monthly stock takes, mock recalls, and variance investigations. Invoice trucks using the specified systems. Requirements: Matric (Grade 12). Must be in good health and able to work in a cold environment. Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required. Ability to follow lawful instructions and maintain high personal discipline. Strong knowledge of receiving, pallet allocation, and stock flow in a cold storage environment. Proficient in the use of scanners, movable racking systems, and operational cold store processes. Lead tyre fitters to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. Prioritize and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner. Perform corrective action requests from auditors. Mount and strip any type of tyre and wheel/rim assembly according to established procedures. Lead tyre fitters in maintaining a high level of service quality to clients. Assess subordinates to analyse competence and identify training gaps (e.g., through Planned Task Observations).
