• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service documentation
• Ability to travel extensively (13–14 days / month) and work flexible hours
• Valid South African “C” Class Driver’s License (and ideally an international license)

Desirable (but not essential)

• Experience in the hard rock mining industry
• Knowledge of grinding mill maintenance and relining

The successful individual will report to the Technical Director and will be responsible for the service maintenance, repairs, and installation of food processing equipment and industrial laundry equipment. In conjunction with the Service Co-ordinator, they will control the output, planning, and prioritising of workflow. The main purpose of the position is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximises customer retention, and increases profitability.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct on-site visits to clients to carry out fault finding and servicing of existing baking, freezing, and laundry equipment.
• Conduct on-site visits to clients for the installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.

• Provide client training on newly installed and existing equipment.

The Service Technician is required to support all Technical Service Functions in the Eastern Cape and bordering provinces.
