The purpose of this position is todrive sales growth in our Specialized Cleaning Services division. This role focuses on selling high-value cleaning solutions, including high-rise window cleaning, strip-and-seal treatments, floor maintenance, deep cleaning, and shut-down cleans, to commercial, industrial, food, healthcare and retail clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the cleaning industry’s specialized service offerings.

• Grade 12
• 3-5 years of sales experience in the cleaning, hygiene, facilities management, or related industry
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (Ideal)
• Own reliable transport
• A valid driver’s license

• Matric certificate; a tertiary qualification in cleaning management or a related field is advantageous
• Clear Criminal and Credit (ITC) record
• Valid South African drivers licence
• At least 4 years experience in a similar role within the contract cleaning industry
• Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for client and team engagement
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, specifically in managing cleaning contracts and vendor relations
• Professional demeanour with a strong focus on delivering exceptional client service within the cleaning sector
• In-depth knowledge of Sectoral Determination and Industrial Relations related to the cleaning industry
• Proven ability to manage costs effectively by optimising chemical usage, allocating cleaning labour efficiently, and maintaining cleaning equipment proactively

• Manage allocated cleaning sites according to agreed service standards to ensure client satisfaction
• Oversee timekeeping and attendance for site teams
• Coordinate and ensure the smooth startup of new cleaning sites
• Plan and prioritise tasks effectively to manage the portfolio efficiently
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with ease and organisation
• Control and optimise labour and resource costs to maximise efficiency
• Perform all necessary administrative duties accurately and promptly

Responsible for the efficient management of Cleaning Staff within the university ensuring quality service delivery in accordance with minimum cleaning standards.

• Supervision, monitoring, inspection amd delegation of staff

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or equivalent (e.g. Technical Qualification)
• Must possess a valid unendorsed drivers license and PDP (or qualify for one)
• A minimum of 25 years in a supervisory position within an operations environment (cleaning, technical)
