Key Responsibilities

Audits and health checks

  • Know how to perform in-depth SEO audits for both technical and marketing departments

Key Requirements

  • Three years’ experience in SEO (at the agency level – organic preferred)
  • Understanding of digital marketing best practices
  • Prior experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO
  • Working knowledge and/or training of search engine optimisation practices
  • Working well in high-pressure situations and thinking on the fly

Site Performance & Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
  • Analyse user behaviour using tools like GA4, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity to identify friction points in the conversion funnel.
  • Conduct or support A/B testing initiatives tied to SEO traffic and on-site conversion improvements (e.g., CTA wording, page layout).
  • Monitor key on-page engagement metrics (bounce rate, time on page, conversion rate) and suggest iterative site improvements.
  • Optimise site architecture and mobile design to enhance user experience and support SEO best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1 year focused on technical SEO for WordPress sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as site speed, crawl errors, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Proficient in using SEO and analytics tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
  • Skilled in implementing tracking, managing SEO metrics and creating detailed monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Experience in conversion rate optimisation, including A/B testing, funnel analysis, and UX best practices.
  • Ability to read and debug HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for SEO fixes.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Basic knowledge of server-side SEO (Nginx/Apache).

  • Exposure to additional CMS platforms (e.g., Shopify, Drupal).

Compensation and Incentives:

Base Salary:

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on PPC & SEO Specialist who thrives on performance marketing and is ready to take full ownership of the company's paid and organic search strategy. You'll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising campaigns that drive qualified leads and improve online visibility.

This is a strategic and technical role suited to someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, experimenting with new ideas, and delivering real, measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Management
  • Plan, manage, and optimise paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta
  • Conduct keyword research, A/B testing, audience targeting, and bidding strategies
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide ongoing recommendations
  • Manage budgets effectively to ensure efficient spend and high ROI
  • Stay updated on platform developments and industry trends
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to boost organic visibility and conversions
  • Perform technical audits, on-page optimisation, and keyword research
  • Collaborate with developers to implement technical SEO improvements
  • Execute link-building and digital PR campaigns
  • Monitor and report on SEO performance using GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, or similar tools

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in SEO and PPC within fast-paced environments
  • Strong academic background, preferably from top-tier South African universities
  • Technically proficient in tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Search Console
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven marketing
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and executes independently
