Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP JVA implementations and enhancements on S/4HANA platforms.
• Configure and manage cutback processing, equity groups, and ownership structures in Joint Venture Accounting.
• Ensure effective integration of JVA with core SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) modules.
• Engage with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for existing JVA configurations and related finance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system testing, training, and go-live activities.

These employees configure new system functionality, but they are also responsible for maintaining, updating and troubleshooting existing system functionality. The main focus for Solution Specialists is the SAP system, and in some instances the Clients global systems and other local systems.

Business Process Analysis

• Engage with business users through workshops and interviews to gather and verify system requirements.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Design optimal system processes and configurations that align with SAP best practices.
• Prepare Functional & Technical Specifications for development and integration.
  
  

System Configuration & Development

• Configure SAP modules to meet business requirements.
• Develop new system functionality or enhance existing ones in collaboration with developers.
• Ensure technical integrity of all configurations and document all changes accurately.
  
  

System Integration

• Design and document system integrations between SAP and external/local systems.
• Ensure seamless data flow and consistent performance across integrated systems.
  
  

Testing and Deployment

• Develop comprehensive test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Manage test cycles, log issues, and validate bug fixes.
• Lead deployment activities including go-live planning, stakeholder communication, and post-deployment support.
  
  

End-User Enablement

• Prepare and deliver user training materials and sessions.
• Ensure users are adequately trained and supported during and after implementation.

Educational Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP configuration experience.
• Experience working in or with the automotive industry is preferred.

Job DescriptionJob PurposeTo design, configure, maintain, and enhance SAP BW solutions to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs across the organization. The SAP BW Solution Specialist ensures timely and accurate access to critical business data, supports decision-making through high-quality information delivery, and drives system improvements aligned to business requirements.Job Overview The Solution Specialist is an Information Technology employee that is responsible for understanding the business process requirements for certain functions in the business and for the design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of system-based solutions that will meet the needs of the business client.These employees configure new system functionality, but they are also responsible for maintaining, updating and troubleshooting existing system functionality. The main focus for Solution Specialists is the SAP system, and in some instances the Clients global systems and other local systems.This job forms part of the Information Technology division and job incumbents work across several teams aligned to business functions. The work that these employees perform has an impact on business continuity.Resource in this team will report to Senior Manager IT: Solutions for a specific area of focus.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Requirement AnalysisEngage with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs. Analyse existing data flows, BW models, and reporting tools to identify improvements. Collaborate with business users to validate and enhance Business Requirement Specifications. Solution Design & ArchitectureDesign robust SAP BW data models (Info Objects, DSOs, Info Cubes, Composite Providers, etc.). Develop new process chains, transformations, and data flows using SAP best practices. Create detailed Functional and Technical Specifications. Development & ConfigurationConfigure SAP BW (on HANA or traditional) components to support enterprise data warehousing. Integrate data from various SAP modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, PP) and external sources. Support enhancements and custom development for reports and KPIs. Data Management & ETLDesign and maintain ETL processes using SAP BW tools and interfaces. Monitor and optimize data loads, ensuring data accuracy and performance. Resolve data issues and identify trends to improve reporting efficiency. Reporting & AnalyticsSupport frontend tools such as SAP BEx, BW Queries, and integration with SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or other reporting platforms. Enable self-service reporting by building user-friendly data models and templates. Collaborate with business intelligence teams to deliver dashboards and visualisations. Testing & DeploymentPlan and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing. Manage defect tracking, resolutions, and documentation updates. Ensure proper system handover and training to users prior to go-live. Support & MaintenanceMonitor SAP BW performance and proactively address system issues. Provide 2nd/3rd level support to users and resolve incident tickets. Maintain accurate and updated documentation for all BW models and reports. Stakeholder EngagementAct as a key contact point for business units on SAP BW reporting and data-related matters. Communicate changes, system downtime, and new features effectively. Build strong relationships across IT and business teams to align goals. Continuous ImprovementAnalyse system usage and identify opportunities to streamline reports and data models. Stay updated on SAP BW on HANA and embedded analytics advancements. Collaborate on internal knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff. Data integration across SAP and non-SAP systems supporting enterprise reporting. Reduced system downtime and fast resolution of reporting issues. Indicators of High PerformanceDelivering complete, accurate, and well-tested reporting solutions on time. Recognised by stakeholders as responsive and knowledgeable. Continuously seeks optimisation opportunities and proactively resolves issues. Produces concise, high-quality documentation and presentations. Demonstrates passion for analytics, data quality, and business outcomes. Maintains up-to-date expertise in SAP BW and related BI tools.
