Responsibilities- Help mechanics and technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks, including gathering tools, holding parts, and assisting with disassembly and reassembly.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and spare parts. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
- Keep the workshop clean and organized. Perform routine cleaning of work areas, tools, and equipment. Dispose of waste and used parts in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, and inventory management of parts and materials. Ensure parts are correctly stored and easily accessible.
- Help with the preparation and maintenance of records related to work performed, parts used, and other workshop activities.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Provide general support to workshop staff as needed, including running errands, assisting with administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical work (advantageous).
- Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment (preferred).
- Valid C1 driver's license with PDP.
- Basic mechanical knowledge, familiarity with workshop tools and equipment, and strong organizational skills.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
