IntroductionATNS is seeking candidates to deliver Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) training courses and research product offerings aligned with the ATA and broader ATNS deliverables to enable the most effective and efficient delivery of training solutions for internal and selected international clients within and outside the ATM community.

- Interpret performance, reliability, maintainability, availability and monitoring of ATM/CNS systems for statistical purposes.
- Design survey instruments to determine the validity, sufficiency and quality of product offerings.
- Research future ATM/CNS systems and provide solutions to enable the department to remain competitive in terms of being the preferred training provider.
- Compile comprehensive reports and implementation plans on research conducted in the external professional environment (formal and informal training, conferences, seminars etc.).
- Apply appropriate research methodologies for the research and analyse results/conclusions to formulate new concepts and ideas.
- Produce research papers that will benefit the aviation fraternity.
- Assessment of students is conducted in compliance with QMS procedures and curricula/syllabi.
- Ability to present selected core and elective courses outside the area of expertise (i.e. Communication/Navigation/Surveillance).
- Create and moderate assessment tools and workbooks for all ATSEP courses.
- Develop unit training course materials to meet the performance needs of the ATSEP and system support requirements.

- Evaluate qualification program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance to ATNS Technology and Information related to On-the-job training instruction actions and checks to support Competency Based Training and Assessment.

- Prototype and pilot proposed information security solutions or capabilities to identify viability of new developments.
- Engage, consult and influence working groups and business areas to understand the required client process for complex problems that are not readily accessible and processes, that require the design, operation and integration of multiple systems, support the client by ensuring a unified outcome and advising on all related information security processes and products and plan accordingly.
- Consider various attack scenarios and identify appropriate controls, by working with architects and software engineers to specify how information security technologies should be implemented.
- Design, implement and operate proactive monitoring and maintenance support activities to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of services and underlying platforms to minimise information security incidents in accordance with the banks risk appetite.
- Participate in post incident analysis, identify control weaknesses and include remediations in planning and scoping activities, support junior team members in analysis, identification and remedial actions as required.
- Automate repeatable tasks, by building technical control capabilities and maturing their operational effectiveness.
- Develop detailed information security designs, incorporating multiple systems into a unified outcome, within strict deadlines and with complex client requirements, ensuring that designs are practical and align to architectural requirements.

To contribute specialist Business Process Engineering input into the development, maintenance and implementation of the Process Science Framework to enable the competitive advantage of the organisation and to be a key enabler in professionalising business operations across the Standard Bank Group by measuring and improving maturity and operational processes and skills to extract efficiencies with the client in mind.
In this role you will learn to:
- Conduct in-depth analysis to ensure that the organisations' products and services are executed through effective and efficient business processes.
- Contribute specialist Process Engineering input to the development and maintenance of the Process Science Framework - covering strategy, policies, processes, procedures, standards, guidelines, training, objectives, metrics and governance – to ensure consistency of implementation and the alignment and international best practices and standards.
- Contribute, by providing specialised Process Engineering input, to the setting of the CoE's (Process Excellence) technology plan and the Group IT plan. Provide domain expertise to develop the relevant technological requirements. Adhere to and implement the relevant technology standards developed by the IT Function.
- Deliver holistically on all the reporting requirements in order to enable transparency and effective decision making.
- Develop and get consensus on a process roadmap, which includes tactical, short, medium and long term process execution imperatives enabling the step change improvement in process performance year-on-year.
- Direct, design and deliver practical solutions using structured process improvement disciplines.
- Drive the execution, monitoring, tracking and reporting on end-to-end process performance in order to demonstrate value to the organisation.
- Identify and quantify opportunities and problem areas through the intelligent analysis of processes, organisational design and strategy in order to enable a competitive advantage for the organisation.
- Implement enterprise continuous improvement projects to deliver the agreed financial benefit within the timeframes stipulated.
- Participate in all relevant training for the requirements of the role, and any changes to the BPM framework, to ensure that all BPM activities are aligned accordingly.
- Promote process-thinking and action which includes creating an awareness of the importance of business process and process thinking within the organisation and building process teams through the development of appropriate knowledge, ability and attitudes of the process team members.
