- Plan and control marketing expenditure of the product portfolio within the budget.
- Develop briefs for suppliers, evaluate quotes of different suppliers.
- Verify invoices and create purchase orders for approval.
- Monitor and process marketing-related expenses.
- Control and report on actual monthly and YTD marketing expenditure vs budget via the Marketing tracker tool.
- Ensure marketing expenditure administration is executed according to Auditors' and Procurement's process requirements.
- Monitor sales statistics.
- Analyse sales volumes (daily) and profitability performance of the product portfolio by SKU, Region, Channel.
- Make recommendations based on sales analysis and implement a 360-degree action plan with Sales/KA/Planning/Distribution.

- Coordinate the commercial activities with Sales, Production, Commercial, and Distribution of the relevant product categories.

Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Market Positioning- Develop and implement brand strategies tailored to African markets while ensuring alignment with global vision.
- Define positioning that makes the brand stand out in a competitive technology landscape.
- Translate complex business objectives into simple, powerful brand narratives.
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated, cross-channel campaigns spanning digital, social, events, partnerships, and offline activations.
- Ensure campaigns are bold, culturally relevant, and measurable in impact.
- Oversee the creation of all brand assets, ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity at scale.
- Work hand-in-hand with Product, Marketing, Digital, CRM, and Communications teams to embed brand messaging across every initiative.

- Manage external creative, media, and production agencies to deliver standout campaigns on time and on budget.
- Build and grow a high-performing local brand marketing team, supporting recruitment, mentorship, and development.

- Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to inform brand strategy and messaging.
- Use data-driven insights to refine campaigns, optimise spend, and prove ROI.
- Keep a pulse on emerging cultural and consumer trends across Africa to ensure the brand stays ahead of the curve.
- Identify and execute brand partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives that expand reach and build relevance in African markets.
- Develop relationships with strategic external stakeholders to amplify brand visibility.
- Oversee brand marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track KPIs and campaign performance, providing detailed reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Continuously optimise to balance creativity with commercial results.
- Proven success as a Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, or similar role within technology, consumer brands, or agency environments.
- Expertise in brand strategy, positioning, and integrated campaign planning.
- Proficiency with analytics platforms and data-driven decision-making.
- Skilled in managing external agencies, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong budget management experience with a record of delivering ROI.
- Ability to build and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional storytelling skills — able to craft narratives that inspire, persuade, and influence.
- Strategic thinker with creative vision and commercial acumen.
- Highly organised and able to consistently deliver under pressure without sacrificing quality.
- Proactive in identifying new opportunities to elevate the brand and drive growth.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of brand/marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Experience with sponsorships, partnerships, or activations across multiple channels advantageous.
- Regional or cross-market African marketing experience a strong plus.
