A company who provides vehicle tracking and recovery services, as well as personal safety solutions is seeking a skilled professional to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of their network infrastructure. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a security engineering team, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation. Design and implement secure network, application, and infrastructure architectures to ensure system resilience and high availability. Collaborate with various teams, including IT, DevOps, and operations, to seamlessly integrate security measures throughout the organization. Ensure security best practices are applied across the entire system development lifecycle (SDLC), including secure coding and vulnerability assessments. Oversee the implementation of security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR) for real-time threat detection. Build strong relationships with internal teams to promote security awareness and with external partners to evaluate third-party risks. Conduct regular risk assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Monitor the organization's network for both internal and external threats. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS. Develop and execute strategic security initiatives that align with the company's long-term business goals. Minimum Requirements: A relevant IT Networking and Security Diploma. Required: AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate. Preferred: CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GIAC, or CEH. At least 5 years in cybersecurity or security engineering, with 1-2 years in a leadership position. Proficient with tools such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Advanced Network Security: In-depth knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and secure network architecture. Endpoint Protection & EDR: Experience managing threats using platforms like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. SIEM and Log Analysis: Practical training with tools like Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel for security event monitoring. Penetration Testing: Exposure to internal/external testing methodologies and tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, or OWASP ZAP.
