PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Pepkor is growing and looking for a Systems Administrator to join the SAP team The SAP Systems Administration focuses on providing administrative services to the SAP Centre of Excellence. The main purpose of this job is to ensure that the SAP system is operating optimally and that the CoE team has the tools and resources necessary to support the organisation's business operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for SAP Support administration activities including finance user support
• Responding to SAP Master Data requests from business (e.g. Vendor Master creation and extension, Customer Master creation and extension, PO Deletions, General Ledger creation, creation of profit centres and creation of asset numbers)
• Managing the SAP Solution Manager inbox
• Creating SAP Support Tickets to the SAP Support team
• Responding to end users regarding progress with support requests
• SAP Password resets
• Assist users with system navigation queries
• Manage and maintain SAP Flexible Workflow processes
• Reporting out of Solution Manager on open Service Requests
• SAP user onboarding / role amendments (Gather information, Complete CoE form, Log Solman incident, action in SAP)
• Contribute to COE Knowledge base through the creation of user guides
• Participate in SAP change projects
• Administration of related financial systems, e.g. Paylink, TravelIT, Soterion, BEST, Finnivo, etc
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the SAP Support manager

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• 3 year diploma in IT, Finance or Communication
• 3 or more years experience in Support and or master data maintenance
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and Google Suite required
• Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana required
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, willingness to assist

The SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant will provide technical and functional support and maintenance services for SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA systems as part of a project focused on delivering high-quality SAP solutions. The role involves ensuring the effective implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of the SAP PS module to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·    Configuration and Customization : Configure and customize the SAP PS module in both SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA environments to align with business processes, including project structures, cost planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.

·    Functional Support : Provide expert functional support for SAP PS, including project definition, work breakdown structures (WBS), network activities, milestones, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PM).

·    Technical Support : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP PS, including system performance, interfaces, and enhancements using ABAP, Fiori, or other relevant technologies.

·    System Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance tasks such as applying patches, updates, and enhancements to ensure system stability and compliance with SAP best practices.

·    Business Process Optimization : Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze and optimize project management processes, ensuring alignment with SAP PS capabilities.

·    Data Migration : Support data migration activities from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4 HANA, ensuring data integrity and consistency in the PS module.

·    Integration : Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other modules (e.g., FI/CO for cost controlling, MM for procurement, and HCM for resource planning) in both ECC and S/4 HANA environments.

·    Training and Documentation : Develop and deliver end-user training, create user manuals, and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and custom developments.

·    Testing and Quality Assurance : Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate SAP PS configurations and enhancements.

·    Project Management Support : Assist project managers in planning and executing SAP PS-related tasks, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

·    Compliance and Best Practices : Ensure all configurations and processes adhere to SAP best practices, industry standards, and organizational policies.

·    Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

·    Experience :

o   Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP PS Consultant, with expertise in both SAP R/3 ECC6 EHP7 and SAP S/4 HANA.

o   Proven track record of delivering at least two full-cycle SAP PS implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.

o   Experience with SAP PS integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, and other modules.

o   Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA’s simplified data models and Fiori-based user interfaces.

·    Technical Skills :

o   Strong knowledge of SAP PS configuration, including project profiles, WBS elements, networks, cost planning, budgeting, and settlement processes.

o   Proficiency in ABAP for custom developments and debugging (desirable).

o   Experience with SAP Fiori apps for PS and knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.

o   Understanding of SAP HANA database concepts and their impact on PS module performance.

·    Functional Skills :

o   Deep understanding of project management processes, such as cost control, resource management, and scheduling within SAP PS.

o   Ability to map business requirements to SAP PS solutions effectively.

o   Strong problem-solving skills to address functional and technical issues.

·    Certifications (preferred):

o   SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4 HANA Project Systems.

o   SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP ECC Project Systems.
