We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end solution design for a major SAP transformation programme. The programme includes upgrading from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA (RISE Private Cloud) and implementing additional solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors , GRC , and Ariba .

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in aligning the solution architecture with business and technical requirements, ensuring integration across platforms, and guiding cross-functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall solution architecture for the SAP landscape transformation, including core SAP S/4HANA and peripheral SAP cloud solutions.
  • Serve as the lead architect responsible for aligning design decisions with business outcomes and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead the design and integration of hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures, leveraging SAP BTP, Integration Suite, or SAP PI/PO.
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Logistics, HR) and with third-party/legacy systems.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, developers, and vendors to ensure architectural integrity and technical feasibility.
  • Support project governance through architectural reviews, documentation, and standards enforcement.
  • Drive innovation and best practices in SAP architecture and integration design.
  • Operate effectively in multi-vendor, multi-country programme environments, contributing to overall programme success.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a SAP Solution Architect.
  • Successfully delivered at least three (3) full-cycle SAP implementations, serving as the lead Solution Architect.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering solutions for at least one of the following:
    • SAP S/4HANA / RISE with SAP
    • SAP SuccessFactors
    • SAP Ariba
  • Strong technical expertise in SAP module integration (e.g., Finance, Logistics, HR).
  • Demonstrated capability in designing hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures using tools such as SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP PI/PO.
  • Experience working with third-party system integrations, APIs, and legacy environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
Required Certifications (At Least Two)

  • SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Integration Suite
  • SAP Certified Associate – Solution Architect
  • SAP Certified Associate – SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)
  • SAP Basis Certification

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience operating in multi-country, multi-vendor environments.
  • Background in large enterprise or public sector SAP programmes.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

SAP eWM/MM Solution Architect

Responsibilities

  • Lead eWM consultant for high priority shorter term projects
  • Assist in pre-sales activities (RFP responses, Client Discovery, Demo Preparation and Delivery)
  • Assist MM/eWM competency lead in QA checks for logistics implementations
  • Work with MM/eWM competency lead to drive improvements in Syntax’s logistics intellectual property and delivery capabilities
  • Take lead in design of complex logistics enhancements and/or extensions to standard SAP
  • Provide functional and architectural guidance to teams designing leading edge solutions in the logistics space (e.g. Mobile solutions, Business Intelligence)

  • Fiori experience that brings a solid understanding of key eWM Fiori apps to be used in the role of an eWM end user

Additionally, the position offers the opportunity to gain global exposure, enabling cross-border knowledge sharing and involvement in international projects.

As a minimum the candidate must:

  • Have a least 8 years’ experience in designing and implementing SAP SuccessFactors

A key responsibility will be to lead design sessions and conduct thorough architectural reviews involving IT departments, HR stakeholders, and relevant third-party vendors.

4.2. Implementation and Best Practices

The Solution Architect will oversee the entire end-to-end implementation process, encompassing critical stages such as detailed requirements gathering, strategic process reengineering, precise system configuration, seamless integration with other systems, rigorous testing, training and successful data management. This highlights the need for comprehensive involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle. A key responsibility will be to lead integration efforts between SAP SuccessFactors and various other SAP or third-party platforms. The Solution Architect will also be responsible for providing governance and ensuring that consistent processes and standards are maintained across all SAP SuccessFactors projects undertaken by Westrocon. This emphasizes the importance of adherence to SAP SuccessFactors best practices.

5.1. Project Experience

Qualifications and Certifications The candidate must hold at least a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Human Resources. The candidate must produce evidence of valid certification in SAP Success Factors Employee Central Core HR. Valid certifications in at least 2-3 core Success Factors modules, including such as Recruiting Management, and Onboarding, along with knowledge in other modules are required. An SAP Activate certification would be beneficial. 5.3. Technical Skills The ideal candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise across all core SAP Success Factors modules, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of their capabilities and interdependencies. Strong, hands-on experience with SAP Success Factors-SAP ERP integration, familiarity with various middleware tools such as SAP Integration Suite, and a solid understanding of cloud architecture principles are essential. Practical experience with integrating SAP Success Factors with SAP S/4 HANA and EC Payroll will be highly valued. Familiarity the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is preferred. Experience in the configuration of Role Based Permissions (RBP) is required. Finally, familiarity with the configuration of provisioning, which is fundamental to managing and setting up SAP Success Factors instances, is expected. 5.4.
