We are hiring a Business Systems Engineer with Salesforce experience, who strives for the highest engineering quality and process efficiency, seeks improvements, continuously develops their skills, and applies them at work. This is an exciting opportunity to work with several popular business systems, and deliver first-class experience to Canonical business operations.
The Commercial Systems unit has several areas of responsibility spread across five engineering teams, closely collaborating with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. The Business Systems team is responsible for systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and several others. The engineers work closely with operations teams, implement business processes, and keep the systems compliant. This team is a great opportunity for an individual with a genuine interest in understanding the business, high engineering standards, and drive to deliver first-class experience to Canonical employees using those systems to get their job done.
Location : This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
The role entails- Develop engineering solutions in NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business systems
- Collaborate with colleagues on business specifications, technical designs, and code reviews
- Learn Canonical business processes

- Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path

- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills

- Performance engineering and security experience
- Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles

Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.

Salesforce Platform Developer I & II certifications are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills & Competencies

Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
Strong experience and knowledge in Salesforce Sales Cloud processes and capabilities.
Implement Salesforce solutions that adhere to platform best practices. Typical Salesforce implementations include custom platform development (Apex, Visualforce, Aura & Lightning Components, Web Services and API), integrations with back-office systems (often using middleware tools) and complex data migrations.
Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Flows, Workflows, Formulas, Assignment Rules, and email Alerts
Design and implement Quote to Cash solutions using Salesforce CPQ
Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
Communicate and work effectively with cross functional teams including business teams, product teams, global IT Apps, teams, consultants & vendors.
Participate in daily scrum meetings, analyze assigned user stories, identify/resolve gaps in functional user stories/business
Requirements
Coordinate and support deployment of releases
Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
Participate in UAT and production deployments to ensure successful project delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with multi-org and multi-currency Salesforce implementations.
