We’re hiring a part-time Sales Specialist – Johannesburg, South Africa

Who this is for:

You’ve spent time in the health and wellness space, either professionally or because you can’t help but care about what goes into your body and how it performs. Maybe you’ve worked as a health consultant. Maybe you’ve sold supplements before. Maybe you’re just that person who sends friends studies on lion’s mane and fasts on Sundays for mitochondrial repair. Either way, you know your way around wellness, and you know how to sell.

Medi Mushrooms is a regional leader in supplying potent medicinal (not magic) mushroom supplement extracts: clean, bioavailable, and actually effective. We’ve been doing this since 2010, long before mushrooms were trending on podcasts. Everything is 100% organic, vegan, and kosher/halal-certified. We're not selling hype. We're selling tools that help people think clearer, sleep better, and get more from their bodies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone who’s not afraid to prospect, open doors, and close deals
  • Knows their way around a CRM (HubSpot preferred)
  • Can keep a clean, organized pipeline and actually follow up when they say they will
  • Has at least 5 years of real sales experience, ideally in supplements, wellness, or a related space
  • Willing to travel, meet clients face-to-face, and build relationships that last
  • Speaks clearly, writes well, and doesn’t buckle when a client pushes back
  • Can educate store owners and new team members on the benefits of our products
  • Handles rejection, keeps momentum, and doesn’t need to be babysat
  • You’ve got a background in nutrition, fitness, or holistic health
  • You’re genuinely interested in adaptogens, nootropics, and natural performance enhancers
  • You’ve built your own client base or community before

Your day at NTT DATA

The Networking Sales Specialist is a seasoned subject matter expert and is a quota-bearing sales persona. The purpose of this role is to primarily pursue, and land qualified leads identified by the Client Management team and other respective teams.

The Networking Sales Specialist identifies new opportunities from a selection of existing accounts, and presents solutions, value propositions, partner configurations, cost structures, and revenue models to the client that meet their needs.

The Networking Sales Specialist works directly with clients at a variety of levels, as well as internal subject matter experts.

A substantial amount of time is spent on engaged selling or supporting the sales process in partnership with Client Managers. This role contributes to the pre-sales process by working with pre-sales architects to create the best solution design for the client, as well as building and developing excellent stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients, whilst developing new business channels and territories.

What You'll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain subject matter expertise in the Network technology domain.
  • Support the closure of sales based on technology domain knowledge.
  • Addresses the technology conceptual challenges during the sales process.
  • Maintains a high level of relevant product and service knowledge to have meaningful conversations with potential and existing clients.
  • Maintains awareness of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategy and how to penetrate a new market.
  • Works with relevant technology vendors and ensures a deep understanding of their solutions and how they can contribute to our own solutions set.
  • Engages and interacts with clients to uncover and understand client business goals and articulates the solution/deliverables that the client requires, as opposed to the products that they need to buy.
  • Prepares and conducts client workshops and presentations and establishes relationships with multiple client stakeholders and secures deals with clients to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
  • Uses understanding of the client’s business and depth of knowledge on the technology-specific solution to personalize the recommended solution in line with the client’s need.
  • Identifies and acts on new sales opportunities within an account and works with the sales teams to drive them to closure.
  • Pursues and lands qualified leads identified by the client managers and other lead generation sources.
  • Executes on the sales strategy and supports the wider territory sales plan, defining own plan for the solution to ensure that sales target is achieved.
  • Develops and maintains clear account plans for appropriate clients and targets.
  • Identifies, assesses and highlights client risks that could prove detrimental to the client’s organization and credibility.
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure the scope of work and proposals are tracked and managed.
  • Uses sales methodologies and tools such as opportunity plans, and account plans to drive the sales process.
  • Develops and implements an opportunity plan, to provide regular check-ins with the primary point of contact and have an established process for getting buy-in from all stakeholders.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Seasoned demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales and financial goals.
  • Seasoned in developing and encouraging meaningful customer relationships up to senior leadership level.
  • Seasoned proficiency in delivering engaging sales presentations.
  • Seasoned proficiency in team selling approach.
  • Seasoned knowledge of competitors and ability to apply competing successful sales strategies.
  • Ability to define sales strategy coupled with seasoned sales solution capabilities.
  • Client-centric approach with ability to understand customer problems and find best-fit solutions.
  • Flexible to adapt quickly to short, new missions or urgent deadlines.
  • Seasoned negotiation abilities to craft solutions that are beneficial to customers, partners, and organization overall.
  • Close attention to maintaining up to date, accurate sales forecast and close plans.
  • Seasoned business acumen.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information technology/systems or sales or a related field.
  • SPIN and / or Solution Selling certification(s) preferred.
  • Relevant technology and vendor certification(s) preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Seasoned sales experience in a technology or services environment.
  • Seasoned understanding of IT Managed Services environment.
  • Seasoned experience of solution-based selling with a proven track record of sales over-achievement.
  • Seasoned experience in selling complex networking technology solutions and services to senior level clients.
  • Seasoned experience in resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways to meet targets and objectives.
  • Seasoned experience in networking with senior internal and external people in the specialist area of expertise.

We are seeking a forward-facing Sales Specialist with excellent English communication and organizational skills to:

  • Manage the full sales cycle: Find new leads, present OysterLink’s solutions, close deals, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Build partnerships: Work with agencies, restaurants, franchises, and hospitality brands to expand OysterLink’s reach and revenue.
  • Collaborate and improve: Team up with colleagues, share feedback, and ensure clients have a great experience.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or account management
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets and growing a client base.
  • Exceptional English communication skills (written and verbal), with excellent grammar.
  • Proactive, analytical, and tech-savvy with a growth mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in the following tools
  • CRM (e.g., Hubspot)
  • Prospecting (e.g., Apollo)
  • Automations (e.g., Lemlist)
  • Must be able to work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST to align with our U.S.-based clients and partners.

You will focus on promoting our construction equipment including mobile cranes, tower cranes, and concrete machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet monthly sales targets and achieve pipeline & collections goals
  • Prospect, qualify and generate new leads to support product lines (business units)
  • Contact prospective clients through calls and visits to promote company's products and services
  • Build and maintain relations with new and existing clients
  • Maintain & update activities on CRM
  • Monitor industry competitors, new products and market conditions to understand customer's specific needs
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to line manager
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions and industry events

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum matric / grade 12. Tertiary education is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets for smart metering, prepayment, and switchgear products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utility companies, contractors, and distributors.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with potential clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand customer base.
  • Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Prepare sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Take the lead on public utility tenders with the support of Head Office technical and commercial teams
  • Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualification

Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Sales/ Marketing or related field.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in metering, energy, or electrical distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of smart metering, prepayment systems, and switchgear is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proven experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Key relationships with private and public utilities, municipalities and end-users will be key to attaining this role.

The Networking Sales Specialist is a seasoned subject matter expert and is a quota-bearing sales persona. The purpose of this role is to primarily pursue, and land qualified leads identified by the Client Management team and other respective teams.

The Networking Sales Specialist identifies new opportunities from a selection of existing accounts, and presents solutions, value propositions, partner configurations, cost structures, and revenue models to the client that meet their needs.

The Networking Sales Specialist works directly with clients at a variety of levels, as well as internal subject matter experts.

A substantial amount of time is spent on engaged selling or supporting the sales process in partnership with Client Managers. This role contributes to the pre-sales process by working with pre-sales architects to create the best solution design for the client, as well as building and developing excellent stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients, whilst developing new business channels and territories.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain subject matter expertise in the Network technology domain.
  • Support the closure of sales based on technology domain knowledge.
  • Addresses the technology conceptual challenges during the sales process.
  • Maintains a high level of relevant product and service knowledge to have meaningful conversations with potential and existing clients.
  • Maintains awareness of the competitive landscape, market pricing, and strategy and how to penetrate a new market.
  • Works with relevant technology vendors and ensures a deep understanding of their solutions and how they can contribute to our own solutions set.
  • Engages and interacts with clients to uncover and understand client business goals and articulates the solution/deliverables that the client requires, as opposed to the products that they need to buy.
  • Prepares and conducts client workshops and presentations and establishes relationships with multiple client stakeholders and secures deals with clients to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets.
  • Uses understanding of the client’s business and depth of knowledge on the technology-specific solution to personalize the recommended solution in line with the client’s need.
  • Identifies and acts on new sales opportunities within an account and works with the sales teams to drive them to closure.
  • Pursues and lands qualified leads identified by the client managers and other lead generation sources.
  • Executes on the sales strategy and supports the wider territory sales plan, defining own plan for the solution to ensure that sales target is achieved.
  • Develops and maintains clear account plans for appropriate clients and targets.
  • Identifies, assesses and highlights client risks that could prove detrimental to the client’s organization and credibility.
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure the scope of work and proposals are tracked and managed.
  • Uses sales methodologies and tools such as opportunity plans, and account plans to drive the sales process.
  • Develops and implements an opportunity plan, to provide regular check-ins with the primary point of contact and have an established process for getting buy-in from all stakeholders.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • SPIN and / or Solution Selling certification(s) preferred.
  • Relevant technology and vendor certification(s) preferred.


Required Experience:

  • Seasoned sales experience in a technology or services environment.
  • Seasoned understanding of IT Managed Services environment.
  • Seasoned experience of solution-based selling with a proven track record of sales over-achievement.
