Job Description & Expected Base Salary

Account Manager for Oil and Fats processers including BioDiesel and Specialty Fats.

Purpose

We are seeking an individual who brings a strong blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise, capable of managing key customer accounts while also understanding and addressing technical needs in processing environments. This position would be to support the Team Lead with the growth and development of Novonesis Oils & Fats in Africa, through a combination of direct customer and distributor management, identifying new opportunities. The position can be based in Johannesburg - South Africa, Nairobi – Kenya, Cairo - Egypt.

Roles and Responsibilities

Primary responsibility to manage direct accounts and distributors and accomplish sales, and profit targets in the assigned region for Novonesis Oils & Fats business.

Provide monthly sales/commercial updates and overall health of the business.

Develop and track and execute customer account plans to ensure aligned strategy with account team.

Co-ordinate and communicate all account activities and plans between customer, technical support and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Have fair technical understanding of Oils and Fats plant operations to be able to conduct customer needs dialogue to identify pain points and translate them into potential opportunities.

Identify new partners/ distributors and unlock new opportunities through a combination of market gap analysis, Novonesis portfolio mapping and partner strength.

Collaborate with Novonesis regional and global marketing to formulate plans to grow the business in Oils & Fats via market share gain, penetration and innovations.

Drive sales via the One CRM system to track & maintain opportunity pipeline within the various opportunity stages.

Responsible for negotiating all customers and channel partners contracts to ensure alignment with targets and respective agreed pricing guidance.

Guide the potential market opportunities, whilst collaborating with regulatory to ensure smooth logistic operations of new products.

Work closely with demand planner to ensure updated customer forecasts, opportunities and demand plans

Be able to represent Novonesis on industry forums and be the voice of our solutions in trade shows and conferences, when needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of commercial experience Oils & Fats, or related industries would be advantageous.

Enzyme knowledge would be an advantage.

Willingness to travel extensively within the Africa region.

  • Quoting & Costings for inbound Groups and Group series from Europe and USA for Southern

  • Liaise with online vendors to update and maintain product listings.
  • Ensure all listings and marketing details are accurate and aligned with current promotions.
  • Assist in coordinating promotional campaigns and cross-functional initiatives between sales and marketing.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Matric required; a relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or Administration is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administration, operations, or sales coordination.
  • Experience within the beauty, cosmetics, or professional salon industry is beneficial.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for bringing strategy to life as the trusted executor for the Sales Lead. The successful candidate is to take plans and ideas and turn them into clear, accurate, and timely action. Ensuring every lead is followed up on, every proposal is polished, and every client feels supported from first contact to handover. Managing the details with care and consistency will give the Sales Lead the space to focus on strategy and growth. Together, you'll create a sales process that runs smoothly, delivers results, and reflects Woww's commitment to excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CRM Management:
    Maintain pipeline accuracy by ensuring all leads are captured, updated, and moved through the pipeline without delay.

  • Proposal Preparation:
    Draft, format, and quality-check proposals (using Woww templates such as Relume, Harvest, Loom), ensuring accuracy, branding, and timely delivery.

  • Client Coordination:
    Manage client scheduling (Calendly), communications, and post-scoping call follow-ups.

  • Process Execution:
    Serve as the Sales Lead's executor — handling documentation, onboarding handovers, and administrative follow-through.

  • Client Relationship Support:
    Build trust through professional, timely communication and solution-oriented support.

  • Sales Cadence Compliance:
    Follow Woww's sales cadence and best practices to ensure consistency across all engagements.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

1. CRM & Data Accuracy

  • 100% accuracy of pipeline records (all leads logged, no missing data).
  • All leads responded to within 24 hours.
  • Pipeline stages updated within 1 business day of client activity.

2. Proposal & Documentation Management

  • Proposals delivered within 24 hours of scoping call.
  • ≤ 2 drafts required before client-ready proposal.
  • Zero client complaints about errors/inconsistencies in documentation.

3. Client Experience & Communication

  • ≥ 90% positive client feedback scores post-onboarding.
  • 100% of scheduled meetings confirmed and followed up on time.
  • Evidence of proactive communication with clients logged in the CRM.

4. Process Execution & Sales Cadence Compliance

  • 100% adherence to sales cadence (follow-up intervals, check-ins, proposal steps).
  • 0 missed follow-ups or handovers.
  • Weekly reporting on lead status delivered on time.

5. Team Support & Growth Contribution

Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The External Sales Support role exists to drive business growth and customer satisfaction through the strategic promotion and sale of engines, parts, and services to clients in the mining and related sectors.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent serves as the key representative of the Steelpoort branch on customer sites—developing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and aligning customer needs with Deutz DieselPower's technical and service offerings

1.   GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Increase Deutz engine and field service sales through structured engagement with mining operations and related sectors.
  • Drive sales of MB and Detroit engines and services through relationship building and solution-based selling.
  • Act as the face of the Steelpoort branch on-site, promoting trust and communicating the value of the company's product and service offerings.
  • Serve as the link between customers and internal technical/service teams, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and delivery capabilities.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, including engine replacements, upgrades, and parts sales.

2.   CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

  • Conduct a minimum of 8 site visits per week to current and prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across mining and industrial operations.
  • Generate 3–5 new qualified leads per month to support sustainable business growth.
  • Develop and follow up on quotes in collaboration with internal sales support teams.
  • Submit weekly sales and market intelligence reports detailing sales activity, lead status, customer feedback, and competitor insights.
  • Align engine sales with service plans, parts supply, and technical support packages to provide a full-service offering.
  • Ensure a quote-to-sale conversion rate above 25% through effective value communication and relationship management.

3.   TECHNICAL PROMOTION:

With support from internal technical and service teams, the External Sales Support role is responsible for:

  • Demonstrating the performance advantages of Deutz engines, aligned to the customer's operational needs.
  • Promoting the environmental and efficiency benefits of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) as part of the broader engine solution.
  • Presenting the strengths and benefits of MB and Detroit engines, positioning them effectively in competitive environments.

4.   EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
