SALES REPRESENTATIVE CRITICAL CARE

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Grade 12
  • Related qualification (medical related) preferred
  • 5 years medical / critical care device sales experience
  • 1-2 years theatre experience
  • Good experience with formulary and non-formulary items (Private Hospitals)
  • Computer literate (Complete MS Word package)
  • Practical experience with hospital procurement systems and processes (Private Hospitals)
  • Experience targeting potential clients such as pediatricians, physicians, neonatologists, pulmonologists, anesthetists, etc.
  • Own transport and valid driver’s license

Duties :

  • Manage relationships and maximize sales opportunities in the Southern and Western suburbs of Gauteng hospital environment.
  • Identify and secure long-term business relationships with corporate, independent, and public sector hospital groups.
  • Manage territory effectively using internal CRM system.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including doctors, nursing staff, pharmacy managers, IPC, stock controllers, buyers, clinical facilitators, technical staff, and unit managers.
  • Promote well-established medical and critical care brands.
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  • Sell surgical instruments and products to hospitals and healthcare professionals.
  • Promote current and new products such as blood filters, IV filters, breathing filters, transducers, extension sets, closed suction catheters, anesthesia, infusion, and injection systems, human waste management systems.
  • Identify new business opportunities for product sales.
  • Demonstrate consistent work methodology focused on achieving targets.
  • Plan, track, and report on sales activities and progress.
  • Prepare and submit forecasts.
  • Manage sales activities using internal systems and tools.
  • Manage stock and follow procedures for theatre entry, maintaining scrub and call rates.
  • Implement sales plans and manage customer relations within designated territory.
  • Monitor competitive trends and products.
  • Maintain experience in surgical, theatre, hospital, or medical device environments.

Salary: R420k p/a plus commission, car allowance, fuel card, cell allowance, group risk cover, funeral, and disability cover.
