About the role
We are looking for a technically proficient and customer-oriented Pre-Sales Engineer – Distribution Switchgear with experience in the utilities sector. The successful candidate will work closely with utility clients, providing technical solutions and support for medium voltage switchgear applications. This role is essential in ensuring that our offerings meet the technical and regulatory requirements of power distribution utilities and to drive sales of the Hexing Medium voltage range of switchgear. < r>
Key Responsibilities
• Wor closely with the sales and business development team to engage with utility and contracting customers and understand their technical needs, to turn opportunity into tangible business for Hexing Electrical SA < r>• A alyze tender documents, private and utility specifications to ensure the Hexing offering is fully compliant with the requirements. < r>• S ecify medium voltage switchgear solutions, including RMU’s and indoor and outdoor switchgear up to 33kV
• D liver technical presentations and consultations to utility, consulting and industrial or mining engineers, planners, and procurement teams. < r>• S pport the preparation of competitive technical and commercial bids in response to RFQs and public tenders. < r>• M intain strong relationships with utility stakeholders, mining and industrial end-users, consultants, and EPC contractors. < r>• C llaborate with internal engineering, product, and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions. < r>• S ay up to date with regulatory standards, utility requirements, and grid modernization initiatives (e.g., smart grids, digital switchgear). < r>• A sist in identifying new business opportunities within the utilities and industrial sectors. < r>• D velop influence specifications with customers. < r>• M st have an understanding of mini-subs, transformers, RMU (ring main units) and a strong network of colleagues who are in this area and would be ideal customers for the switchgear solutions. < r>
Candidate requirements
Education:

• N Dip Electrical Engineering or Electro-mechanical or relevant qualifications < r>

Experience:
• M nimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in medium voltage switch gear.
• D ep understanding of the operational and regulatory environment of utility companies. < r>• P oven experience designing and specifying MV/LV switchgear systems for distribution networks. < r>• F miliarity with IEC or IEEE standards and grid codes relevant to utility operations. < r>• S rong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. < r>• S me experience in reading electrical design drawings (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN) and strong Microsoft Office Suite skills are needed. < r>

SAP Functional Consultant : Sales and Distribution SAP Functional Consultant : Sales and Distribution Direct message the job poster from Pepkor Lifestyle Human Resources Lifestyle We are looking for a motivated and dedicated SAP SD Functional Consultant who will provide user support and assistance for 3rd level incidents, and resolving business as usual issues aligned to operations and service processes. Job Description The Functional Consultant: SD is responsible for configuring and testing SAP Sales and Distribution functions and module solutions, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems. The Functional Consultant: SD is responsible for writing functional and test specifications, as well as training and testing material. The Functional Consultant: SD is responsible for providing user support and assistance for 3rd level incidents, and resolving business as usual issues aligned to operations and service processes. Make recommendations to optimise SAP Point of Sale Data Management / Data Transfer Audit processes, policies and procedures. Adhere to all IT Governance Frameworks including policies, procedures, processes and standards. Identify suitable solutions to new and existing business requirements (changes and projects), and ensure effective resolution of problems and incidents. Produce portfolio and status reporting in a timely manner and aligned to the agreed communications plan for all relevant stakeholders. Update and maintain known error database, knowledge base, configuration database as well as testing and training material, and implement a continuous improvement plan to improve the portfolio solutions. Effectively manage and develop self to deliver on agreed individual and team objectives. 3+ years SAP design and configuration experience 2+ years Agile experience (e.g. sprint planning, stand-up) Working with business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design Documenting functional and technical specifications Experience in preparation of business cases, business process Driving change Functional knowledge of SAP SD (Pricing, ATP, Credit Management, Product Proposal, Consignments) including interfaces, data migration and integration with POS and POSDM/POSDTA modules Knowledge of SAP Financial (FI) module and integration between Sales and Distribution (SD) and FI modules Knowledge and experience of Retail SAP architecture, implementation and operations Understanding of development concepts, guidelines and SAP architecture Knowledge and application of relevant IT best practices Knowledge of IT Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL 3) Knowledge of Project management including methods and tools Knowledge of retail industry models MS Office proficiency with advanced excel and VISIO Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Supply Chain and Distribution Industries Retail and Wholesale Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Pepkor Lifestyle by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “SAP Functional Consultant” roles.
