Sales and Distribution Specialist PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting directly to the Head of Distribution, the Sales and Distribution Specialist will be instrumental in generating sales, expanding our client base, and retaining existing clients by delivering exceptional customer service.
We are looking for an experienced B2B salesperson with a strong focus on long-term insurance who will develop and manage relationships with businesses to promote our comprehensive insurance solutions and services. Your responsibilities will include driving sales growth and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while demonstrating in-depth knowledge of all Sena products and services.
KEY DUTIES- Sales Strategy Development:
- Create and implement effective sales strategies to promote Sena products and services.
- Analyze data and customer needs to optimize offerings.
- Identify and target potential business clients in need of long-term insurance and COID solutions.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and client needs.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

- Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.

RoleWe are looking for a technically proficient and customer-oriented Pre-Sales Engineer – Distribution Switchgear with experience in the utilities sector. The successful candidate will work closely with utility clients, providing technical solutions and support for medium voltage switchgear applications. This role is essential in ensuring that our offerings meet the technical and regulatory requirements of power distribution utilities and to drive sales of the Hexing Medium voltage range of switchgear.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the sales and business development team to engage with utility and contracting customers and understand their technical needs, to turn opportunity into tangible business for Hexing Electrical SA
- Analyze tender documents, private and utility specifications to ensure the Hexing offering is fully compliant with the requirements.
- Specify medium voltage switchgear solutions, including RMU’s and indoor and outdoor switchgear up to 33kV
- A good understanding of protection related to medium voltage switchgear would be beneficial although Hexing does not offer the protection and will work with external protection vendors
- Deliver technical presentations and consultations to utility, consulting and industrial or mining engineers, planners, and procurement teams.
- Support the preparation of competitive technical and commercial bids in response to RFQs and public tenders.
- Maintain strong relationships with utility stakeholders, mining and industrial end-users, consultants, and EPC contractors.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Stay up to date with regulatory standards, utility requirements, and grid modernization initiatives (e.g., smart grids, digital switchgear).
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities within the utilities and industrial sectors.
- Develop influence specifications with customers.
- Must have an understanding of mini-subs, transformers, RMU (ring main units) and a strong network of colleagues who are in this area and would be ideal customers for the switchgear solutions.
- N. Dip Electrical Engineering or Electro-mechanical or relevant qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in medium voltage switch gear.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a pre-sales, applications, or technical role related to switchgear or power distribution systems.
- Deep understanding of the operational and regulatory environment of utility companies.
- Proven experience designing and specifying MV/LV switchgear systems for distribution networks.
- Familiarity with IEC or IEEE standards and grid codes relevant to utility operations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Some experience in reading electrical design drawings (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN) and strong Microsoft Office Suite skills are needed.

Job Description & Expected Base Salary
Account Manager for Oil and Fats processers including BioDiesel and Specialty Fats.
Purpose
We are seeking an individual who brings a strong blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise, capable of managing key customer accounts while also understanding and addressing technical needs in processing environments. This position would be to support the Team Lead with the growth and development of Novonesis Oils & Fats in Africa, through a combination of direct customer and distributor management, identifying new opportunities. The position can be based in Johannesburg - South Africa, Nairobi – Kenya, Cairo - Egypt.
Roles and Responsibilities
Primary responsibility to manage direct accounts and distributors and accomplish sales, and profit targets in the assigned region for Novonesis Oils & Fats business.
Provide monthly sales/commercial updates and overall health of the business.
Develop and track and execute customer account plans to ensure aligned strategy with account team.
Co-ordinate and communicate all account activities and plans between customer, technical support and other internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
Have fair technical understanding of Oils and Fats plant operations to be able to conduct customer needs dialogue to identify pain points and translate them into potential opportunities.
Identify new partners/ distributors and unlock new opportunities through a combination of market gap analysis, Novonesis portfolio mapping and partner strength.
Collaborate with Novonesis regional and global marketing to formulate plans to grow the business in Oils & Fats via market share gain, penetration and innovations.
Drive sales via the One CRM system to track & maintain opportunity pipeline within the various opportunity stages.
Responsible for negotiating all customers and channel partners contracts to ensure alignment with targets and respective agreed pricing guidance.
Guide the potential market opportunities, whilst collaborating with regulatory to ensure smooth logistic operations of new products.
Work closely with demand planner to ensure updated customer forecasts, opportunities and demand plans
Be able to represent Novonesis on industry forums and be the voice of our solutions in trade shows and conferences, when needed.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience Oils & Fats, or related industries would be advantageous.
Enzyme knowledge would be an advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within the Africa region.

Requirements And Skills
- Senior level – Minimum 5 years' Experience as KAM at an Inbound Tour Operator/DMC
- Quoting & Costings for inbound Groups and Group series from Europe and USA for Southern
Africa (Namibia/Botswana/Zimbabwe/Zambia/Mozambique)
- Product knowledge essential
- Negotiating with suppliers & Liaising with long established clients
- Liaising with the groups consultants who handle the operations and logistics.
- Experience in providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
