My client is looking for a confident and relationship-driven sales professional to help grow their client base in the investment industry. You'll be responsible for developing new relationships, understanding client data challenges, and helping them explore how their platform can support their reporting and investment operations.
Their product is a powerful data platform used by asset managers to centralise, automate, and transform their reporting and investment processes. You'll work closely with their experienced implementation team of data engineers and analysts to shape client solutions and close high-value deals.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and engage decision-makers (CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Data) at investment firms
Establish trust quickly through discovery calls and relationship-building
Understand client data and reporting challenges and match them with the product's capabilities
Work with the implementation team to shape and present tailored solutions
Manage a mix of long-lead enterprise opportunities and shorter sales cycles
Maintain and grow your sales pipeline using the existing sales process, CRM, and playbook
Refine and improve the sales process as needed
Facilitate smooth handovers to the implementation team by clearly communicating requirements and expectations
Provide internal feedback on competitors, threats, and opportunities encountered
5-8 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales (preferably within financial or data-driven industries)
Proven ability to close deals and meet sales targets
Experience engaging senior technical/business stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Ops/Data)
Strong listening and questioning skills; able to lead conversations, not just pitch
Comfortable working with data concepts and explaining technical products (engineering knowledge not required)
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Familiarity with Excel-based or API-driven tools (a plus)
Bonus: Experience or networks in the investment, asset management, or financial services sectors
Market-related based on candidate experience and proficiency
