Main Responsibilities

Tender opportunity search & identification (5% of role):

  • Proactively search South Africa's public-sector tender portals (especially the National Treasury e-Tender site) to identify relevant RFPs and tenders for traffic enforcement services.

Tender Compilation and Proposal Development (50% of role):

  • Lead the end-to-end tender writing, compilation, and submission process.
  • Craft comprehensive proposals that respond directly to clients' requirements, including pricing, technical approach, and service deliverables.
  • Coordinate input from legal, technical and finance teams to ensure compliant, compelling bids.
  • Ensure all bid activities comply with South African public procurement regulations.
  • Understand and apply principles from the PFMA/PPPFA.
  • In time also take over technical compilation of the response.

Client Engagement (25% of role):

  • Work closely with the Business Development Director to engage with prospective clients.
  • Travel regionally to meet with clients, attend industry events, and network with procurement officials and key decision-makers.
  • Effectively communicate Syntell's turnkey traffic fine management solutions and competitive advantages.
  • Follow up on leads.
  • Arrange and conduct presentations, demonstrations and negotiations with prospective clients (e.g. municipal traffic departments, parastatals).

Market and industry analysis (10% of role):

  • Research market trends, policy changes and customer requirements in the traffic enforcement and road safety sector.
  • Identify new service opportunities and tailor offerings to meet the evolving needs of government clients.

Customer Satisfaction (5% of role):

  • Implement and manage annual satisfaction surveys and feedback mechanisms for existing Syntell customers.
  • Analyse survey data to improve service delivery, maintain strong client relationships, and identify up-sell or renewal opportunities.

Reporting (5% of role):

  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, tender statuses and sales forecasts for the Business Development Director.
  • Maintain a CRM or tracking system for all pipeline and proposal data.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification, e.g. Sales, Business Development, Marketing etc.

Valid Driver's License.

Business development experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably with exposure to the public sector or municipal contracts.
  • Experience in the road safety, law enforcement or traffic technology industry is advantageous.

Tendering experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of finding and winning government contracts.
  • Proven ability to write and assemble high-quality bid proposals. Prior exposure to contract drafting and bid evaluation criteria is beneficial.

Procurement knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of South African government procurement processes and policies.
  • Familiarity with the Constitution's supply-chain requirements and key legislation (PFMA, PPPFA) is required. You should know how preferences, B-BBEE and compliance factors impact tender success.

Functional and Behavioural Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids on tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word).

Public Safety Vehicle Patroller

TSU International is the contracted public safety provider to the Clifton City Improvement District, which provides top-up services to the City of Cape Town.

Working in the public spaces of Clifton – including beaches, car parks, roads and green open spaces - the public safety team is responsible for providing a visible crime deterrent on a 24x7x365 basis, whilst also offering assistance in the public space to residents, property owners and visitors. Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Public Safety Vehicle Patroller is responsible for:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing vehicle and foot patrols in defined areas.
  • Responding to incidents in which a public safety officer requires back up.
  • Liaising with the surveillance centre regarding CCTV alerts and suspicious behavior, and ensuring resources are deployed to attend to them, providing updates and reports in each instance.
  • Working with the contract manager to manage issues.

To be considered for the role, you will need:

  • Grade B PSIRA certification.
  • A valid driver's license: Minimum 2 years driving experience on various types of vehicles and be a regular driver

Job Description

SAFETY OFFICER POSITION

African Eagle Waste Management is looking for a Safety Officer to join our dynamic company and start their career.

Job Types: Contract

Head office: Kuruman, Northern cape

Salary: will be discussed with applicants during interviews

Requirements

· Grade 12 (Matric)

· Relevant Safety Management / OHS qualification

· SAMTRAC or equivalent (advantageous)

· Minimum 2–3 years' proven experience as a Safety Officer

· Knowledge of OHS Act and related regulations

· Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills

· Valid driver's license

· Registered as Safety Officer with SACPCMP.

Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

· Develop and implement, and improve the health and safety plans, programs and procedures in the workplace and on site.

· Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.

· Identify training needs on site.

· Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.

· Investigate workplace accidents.

· Report on safety related activities.
