Provides in-patient therapy for neonates to geriatrics on medical surgical floor, critical care, surgical services, level II nursery, the family birthplace center, and the emergency department.
Under the supervision of the medical staff, provides general and advanced levels of therapy and patient education.
Participates as a member of the trauma and code blue teams, evaluates CXR for endotracheal tube placement and other pulmonary clinical pathology, reviews laboratory values, fluid balance, and medications.
Provides Level II Nursery and pediatric respiratory interventions, manages pediatric asthma and bronchiolitis, and performs EKGs, ABGs, and bedside Spirometry.
Schedule: Days - 3-12's with weekend rotation. No call.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) accredited School of Respiratory Care
- NBRC RRT and NRP Credentialed required
- State Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association with cards in hand before start date
- NRP with card in hand before start date
- Experience with ventilator management (APRV, AVAPS, BIPAP), respiratory care consults, assessments, adult intubation, arterial line insertion, bedside diagnostics; familiarity with Meditech helpful
Salary Range: Evening and weekend differentials available. Annual bonus based on performance.
