The Stores Person plays a critical role in the effective operation of the warehouse by applying extensive experience in stores and inventory management. This position is responsible for overseeing the accurate receipt, handling, storage, and dispatch of goods, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards.The role demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills, a methodical approach, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency. Working closely with the wider supply chain and production teams, the Senior Stores Person helps ensure materials are available as required, enabling seamless operational flow and minimal disruption. Required Skills
  • Minimum education: Grade 12 with a related NQF2 qualification.
  • Further technical or logistics-related training will be advantageous.
  • 5–10 years of proven hands-on experience in stores or warehouse operations, preferably in a medium-large manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environment managing >30,000 SKUs.
  • Computer literacy: Proficient in MS Office (intermediate Excel and Word); experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is advantageous.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain flexible and focused in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods; accurately store materials; issue components to production; perform cycle counts and stock takes; monitor and report inventory levels.
  • Material Handling & Control: Ensure accurate picking, packing, and staging; maintain a clean and compliant stores environment; organise materials to support efficient workflow; operate handling equipment with appropriate certification; safeguard inventory.
  • Documentation & System Updates: Maintain accurate records of stock movements; capture transactions in ERP systems in real-time; file and manage all relevant stock documentation.
  • Production & Departmental Support: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability; respond to urgent material requests; assist in preparing and maintaining production kits.
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Identify and report inefficiencies; ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements; participate in training and cross-functional initiatives.

Overall Job Function

Responsible for the technical support of the design team in the design, analysis and testing of satellite communication products, including various complex antennas, power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and cavity filters.

Support product development evaluations and final product characterization testing, working with the development team to provide testability planning, strategies and methodologies.

Responsible for developing and executing test solutions for RF products from concept and development through to the manufacturing process.

Job Responsabilities
  • Design and develop circuits from concept through to manufacturing of a range of RF and analogue electronic products.
  • S ub-system specification in order to translate the requirements derived from upper level (system specification) into more detailed technical specifications of how the subsystem should function internally to create the required responses to certain input signals.
  • Ensuring that reliability requirements are met in the design: these include E.M.C (electromagnetic compatibility), safety, manufacturability and thermal design aspects.
  • Support production in terms of trouble shooting if there is any issue with the existing test programs impacting customer delivery.
  • Specify and recommend test resources, processes, capabilities, and technology to enhance production capability.
  • Responsible for lab work during the prototype phase of product development.
  • Frequent usage of RF equipment including: Spectrum and Network Analysers, Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Signal Generator, and Power Supplies.
  • Adopt and/or participate in technological innovation or methodologies.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other members of the discipline, including production.
  • Support the system engineering with low-level design validation.
  • Contribute to the system-level or conceptual design.
  • Assist with Industrialisation of prototype designs.
  • Assist with Production and field return failure analysis.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of a three-year degree with honours or four year degree in Engineering, a post graduate degree in engineering (MSc/MEng/PhD) is preferred
  • 2-10 years working experience in a RF development environment
  • Design experience in power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers and cavity filter design
  • Experience with/in:
    • RF metrology (e.g. digital modulation, Spectrum and Network Analysers, Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Signal Generator, and Power Supplies)
    • schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer)
    • RF and analog simulation tools (Microwave Office, LTSpice)
    • designing or testing for RTCA DO-160 compliance

Purpose of role:

Research and Development

  • Assisting in the creation of Technical Specification documents by providing measurement results and information about the product as needed.
  • Comparing the performance of current antenna offerings against competitors and improvements to current antenna offerings.
  • Leads complex antenna design; defines specs and design strategy.


Product Management
  • Defining the long-term vision and strategy for the companys products and manage the lifecycle of the various products according to best product management principles.
  • Create and analyse product business cases (financial & strategic).
  • Research, analysis, and internal guidance of current and emerging technologies that may impact the companys product strategy.
  • Research competitor products (strengths & weaknesses) and product comparisons (market, technical, and pricing).
  • Develop internal and external product plans (roadmaps), Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) across regions/territories.
  • Designs test plans, interprets complex measurement data


Prototype Management
  • Involvement in the management of prototype construction.
  • Measurement and recording of simulation results.
  • Processing of measurement and simulation results to allow for more rapid decision-making from management.
  • Advising on possible changes necessary to improve key performance parameters on an antenna.
  • Debug issues with prototypes and note the changes which need to be made by production.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions

Administration and Reporting
  • General correspondence and administration completed accurately and timeously.
  • Email, inbox, and data managed timeously and effectively.
  • Professional image maintained in all communication.
  • All reporting and feedback requirements met, and reports completed accurately and timeously, according to company requirements.

Skills and Knowledge
  • 610 years experience in a similar role.
  • A related Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Great verbal and writing skills in English.
