Right Side Up is looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor who will organize, direct, supervise, evaluate and is responsible for the warehousing and transport during the night. Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Supervise staff through effective planning, leading, organizing and running of the operations.

  3. Ensure schedules and deadlines are adhered to and met.
  4. Assist in problem-solving.

Job Purpose

The ideal candidate will lead by example, with the ability to effectively work with and supervise tyre fitters. They should be capable of handling administrative tasks, delivering exceptional customer service, and demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and enhance their managerial skills and knowledge. This position will be based at Otraco.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that tyre fitters comply with the Otraco Management System (OMS) policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Lead tyre fitters to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
  • Prioritize and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner.
  • Perform corrective action requests from auditors.
  • Mount and strip any type of tyre and wheel/rim assembly according to established procedures.
  • Lead tyre fitters in maintaining a high level of service quality to clients.
  • Assess subordinates to analyse competence and identify training gaps (e.g., through Planned Task Observations).
  • Ensure that all personnel work safely and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with site "lock-out" / "tag-out" procedures.


Qualifications & Experience Required

Education and other certification:


  • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code 08).


Experience (years):


  • Three years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience.


Skills:


  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A solid understanding of the working mechanisms of the tools or machinery being handled.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of equipment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with a keen attention to detail

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Clerk of Works – Civil / Structural to join our Engineering team.

In this role, you will:

  1. Prepare civil and structural engineering technical aspects relating to underground shaft infrastructure build (SIB).
  2. Provide construction support for civil, structural, and mechanical projects.
  3. Implement relevant project initiatives aligned with the SIB master project plan throughout the Life of Mine (LOM).
  4. Ensure compliance with De Beers Group and Anglo-American standards, specifications, and procedures.
  5. Support project delivery within established cost and schedule parameters.
  6. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  7. Uphold corporate values and adhere to SHE policies and procedures.
  8. Manage quality control, documentation, and compliance with budgetary requirements.
Qualifications

National Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Civil / Structural Engineering and Construction or a similar environment.

Valid EB / Code 8 Driver's License.

Role-specific knowledge and experience with mine shafts and underground construction is preferred.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer-aided design & drafting systems.

Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and planning skills.

Preparedness to work shifts, standby duties, callouts, and overtime as required.
