Responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of the Product:

POSITION INFO :
PURPOSE OF JOB
To maintain and grow market share within the corporate franchise, supermarket chains, and independent clients in the designated area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales & Marketing
Objectives:
- Increase sales and market share through active canvassing and cold calling on potential customers as per the "Account Allocation Chart".
- Acquire new franchisees and opposition franchisees (e.g., Spar and OK Foods) and expand market share; replace equipment older than 5 years.
- Advise clients on and sell new value-added products to enhance their businesses.
- Obtain planned rollouts from clients in the region and target new franchise stores through meetings, visits, and cold calls.
- Negotiate pricing within set parameters.
- Visit 10-15 customers daily (approximately 60 per week).
- Keep market share reports updated.
- Sell equipment and consumables as per the budget.
- Visit customers Monday to Thursday; meet with the Branch Manager on Fridays for sales management meetings.
Project Management
Ensure effective service delivery to new clients and proper installation in accordance with the Installations Checklist:
- Verify correct invoicing based on sales orders and ensure completion of the invoice and Checklist.
- Obtain signed confirmation from the Service Manager and customer that installation was successful.
Customer Relations
- Maintain good relations with clients through visits and/or calls at least four times a year.
- Ensure client satisfaction and report issues to the Service Manager or escalate to the Branch Manager if necessary.
- Manage customer complaints and resolve issues effectively to sustain good relations.
Reporting and Feedback
- Meet regularly with the Branch Manager to discuss results and sales metrics, typically on the first Friday after metrics release and weekly thereafter.
- Provide formal written reports after each meeting, including minutes and updates.
- Report weekly on activities, client visits, and statuses via Skynamo.
- Maintain updated lists of "Spar Members" and "OK Foods Members".
- Participate in strategy discussions regarding new product launches and exhibitions.
- Arrange meetings between customers and international suppliers when needed.
Cost Management
- Contribute to budget planning by providing inputs to the Branch Manager and Finance Department as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, and KNOWLEDGE
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 1-3 years of sales experience.
