Job Description
Here's your chance to take the lead in shaping the marketing story of a major retail centre in Mpumalanga. This is not about managing campaigns from the sidelines, it's about building a brand that attracts shoppers, supports tenants, and positions the centre as the region's go-to destination for lifestyle, shopping, and community engagement. For a creative marketer who thrives on results, this is the perfect opportunity to combine strategy with hands-on impact.
The centre is part of a nationally managed property portfolio with a strong focus on retail. The business behind it has a proven track record in delivering successful centres across South Africa, and this role offers the scope to influence both the commercial success of the centre and its role in the wider community.
As Marketing Manager, you'll be based on-site in Middelburg, responsible for the full spectrum of marketing activities. This includes developing and executing annual strategies, building the centre's brand, driving foot traffic, and creating memorable events and promotions. You'll work closely with tenants to ensure their success, while also engaging with the community to make the centre a true local landmark. From budgets and digital channels to brand positioning and campaign delivery, you'll have the opportunity to shape the centre's future.
The ideal candidate will hold a marketing or communications degree and bring at least five years of experience in retail or commercial property marketing. You'll need a mix of creativity and commercial acumen, with a proven ability to deliver campaigns that increase engagement and sales. Strong leadership skills, digital know-how, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once are essential. Most importantly, you should thrive in a role that blends strategy, execution, and relationship-building, where no two days look quite the same.
This role is based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, and the business is open to applicants who are considering relocation for the right opportunity.
If you're ready to put your stamp on a large retail centre and lead marketing efforts that make a real impact in Middelburg and beyond, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
