Take full command of a refined, high-performance kitchen
Kingsley's Restaurant is seeking a senior Head Chef to lead our culinary team with precision, creativity, and uncompromising standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who thrives under pressure, inspires excellence, and takes full ownership of kitchen operations.
Role Overview
You will oversee a two-shift kitchen team operating daily from:
Morning Shift: 07:00–15:00
Evening Shift: 14:00–22:00
(Maximum 45 hours/week)
Your responsibilities will include:
Full kitchen leadership and staff management across both shifts
Daily and weekly stock-taking, ordering, and balancing stock on hand
Portion control, waste management, and purchasing accountability
Impeccable presentation of every dish leaving the pass
Enforcing cleanliness, hygiene, and staff etiquette at all times
Food storage compliance and kitchen organisation
Disciplinary oversight and staff motivation
Daily reporting to the GM and Owner
Upholding Kingsley's standards of refinement, pace, and perfection
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 5 years senior-level experience in a high-volume, upmarket kitchen
Proven ability to lead without oversight, with initiative and discipline
Inventive, proactive mindset with a passion for culinary excellence
Exceptional presentation skills and attention to detail
Ability to drive and motivate staff to perform at peak levels
Calm, focused leadership under pressure
Trial Period
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to join the team for one week to demonstrate skill, leadership, and alignment with Kingsley's ethos.
