A vacancy exists for a Business Reporting Management , based at Life Head Office , reporting to the Head: Analytics . The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and delivering Life Healthcare’s reporting and visualisation strategy and requirements, providing guidance and expertise across various business functions by transforming data and providing valuable, actionable insights. This role will entail leading a team of data analysts, visualisation and reporting specialists and BI solutions architects, ensuring timeous and high impact delivery.

• Responsible for coordinating business reporting tasks for the organisation, including creating effective strategies to analyse information, conduct research, and implement reporting solutions for products and services.
• Work with the Head: Analytics to understand key business questions and develop reporting approaches to inform solutions.
• Work with the Data Development Manager to identify data transformations and pipelines to optimise the delivery of reporting insights.
• Implement tools and strategies to translate raw data into valuable business insights.
• Supervise efficient delivery of all Data Analytics and Business Reporting projects, based on solid requirements analysis, to ensure consistent project realisation of objectives.
• Supervise and ensure efficient performance of employees in the function.
• Assess all reporting requirements and develop a long-term strategy for various reporting solutions.
• Coordinate with the data team and ensure compliance with all enterprise data governance standards.
• Monitor the work of the Business Reporting team and ensure effective implementation of all projects to achieve all client objectives.
• Develop a BI service culture that builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
• Ensure that the BI Toolset is aligned with the data and analytics strategy

• Minimum Bachelors degree in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, computer science or engineering.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering data-driven reports to businesses and understanding business needs from this reporting role.
• 1+ years of management experience
• Strong leadership and managerial competencies.
• Must possess problem-solving and reporting skills, along with a strong knowledge of current industry practices.
• Healthcare experience will be an advantage, especially in a hospital environment.
• The ability to work with other managers and intelligence professionals is vital.
• Must be able to convey information clearly and effectively.

• Develop and present statistical and business reports to key stakeholders.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including VBA programming.
• Knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, SQL, Power Query, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (Power BI or equivalent).
• Understanding of ETL processes, data loading, and transformation.

The Reporting & Analytics Executive will be responsible for creating media performance reports for Agencies. This involves pulling report data from various platforms and collaborating closely with the Paid Media Team & Agency to gather insights and optimization strategies. The candidate should be experienced and comfortable accessing Digital Platforms to extract reports.

• Work with Agencies & Paid Media Team to gather reporting requirements, deadlines, and share reporting templates.
• Ensure continuous collaboration and alignment with internal teams and agency partners.
• Manage data retrieval from platforms to populate templates.
• Create accurate calculated fields in Excel reports.
• Define Quality Assurance guidelines and manage QA processes to ensure report data accuracy.
• Manage reporting timelines to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communicate with Agencies & Paid Media Team and escalate issues to line managers as needed.
• Build strong relationships with team members, market teams, and client teams for seamless operations and successful report delivery.
• Be accountable for the successful delivery of reports.
• Produce accurate performance data, insights, and recommendations.
• Deliver ongoing media improvements through data-driven insights to optimize ROI.
• Address non-compliance with Taxonomy/Naming conventions in platforms by informing line managers.
• Collaborate with Agencies, Paid Media Team, Global teams, third-party, and creative agencies.
• Keep all digital platform certifications up to date and participate in training sessions.
• Participate in upskilling on Dashboarding as part of reporting specialist growth.

• Experience in data management, marketing analytics, and/or technology.
• Thorough understanding of digital marketing channels (search, social, programmatic, etc.) and media metrics.
• Familiarity with dashboarding software (Datorama, Looker Studio, Tableau, PowerBi, etc.).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong time management and QA focus.
• Flexible to work in cross-functional teams and proactive in problem-solving.

The role:

The execution of financial reporting processes including consolidation, period end close, statistical, statutory reporting, internal and external audit and preparation of Annual Financial Statements for Seriti.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Implementation of financial accounting policies
• Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Interpretations
• Manage, review and process journal entries, accruals and intergroup service charges
• Preparation and review of trial balance and general ledger reconciliations
• Executes the period end close process
• Participates in governance related activities including governance reviews and internal and external audits
• Interfaces with External Auditors and prepares documentation for auditors to use
• Reporting
• Prepare Half year and Year end statutory reporting including external briefing paper submissions and governance reviews
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with applicable financial reporting standards
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting including RAC, Board, JV and Third-Party reporting
• Prepare general statistical and statutory reporting e.g. SARB & DMR statistical submissions
• Preparation of monthly reports

Requirements:

• Degree / National Diploma in Finance
• 5 – 7 years’ post qualification experience in financial and/or management accounting
• Competent in International Financial Reporting Standards
• Proficiency in the use of SAP; MS Office Suite
• In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
• Valid drivers license
