What we're after (essentials first):

  • South African citizen
  • Solid formal project management skills
  • Over 5 years in the industry – bonus if you've got a proven track record on utility projects
  • Knowledge of BESS projects? That'll give you an edge
  • Deep understanding of Eskom and municipal SSEG processes, especially for utility-scale (think CEL and Eskom BQ)
  • Ace with Microsoft tools, including MS Project

  • Ensure projects deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards, and necessary permits. Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies. Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including governments, local communities, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure Arup delivers quality services to our clients. Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards and performance objectives are met. Oversee and report on the project's progress to senior management and stakeholders.
