• Registered as a Professional Architect with SACAP
• Software knowledge in programmes such as : Autocad (essential). Knowledge of Revit, Sketchup and 3D visualisation software will be advantageous.
• Should be able to manage / supervise / multi-disciplinary teams.
• Be willing to travel across the country for short trips
• Be able and willing to mentor and guide junior architects and technicians
• Have a working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 : 2015)

1. Collaborate with project teams to develop designs prioritising safety and compliance with SANS building codes and Construction regulations.
2. Conduct thorough site analysis to identify potential safety hazards and risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
3. Review architectural plans and specifications to ensure they meet safety standards and guidelines.
4. Work closely with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety features seamlessly into design concepts during Stage 1 of the project stages.
5. Assist with creating evacuation diagrams to ensure clear and effective emergency procedures.
6. Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions of a building and identify safety concerns or opportunities for improvement.

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in architecture.
2. Be a Registered Architect with relevant professional licensing in South Africa.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design, with a particular focus on safety.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software.
5. Possess a strong understanding of SANS building codes, Construction Regulations, and Safety Standards.
6. Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaboratively work with multidisciplinary teams.
