Our client is looking for an individual to join their growing IT team as an UX/UI Design Lead to Lead the design of user interface and the visual and user-experience elements of digital products. Applying an advanced level of expertise, guide stakeholders and team members in the practice of product design and lead the translation of high-level requirements into interactive designs

Responsibilities:

Design and Conceptualisation

  • Lead a collaborative digital product/service design process by gathering input across all product/service portfolios to define a design system that is viable and scalable, and which strengthens the brand. Lead a cross-portfolio, multidisciplinary team that contributes to the evolution of the system.

Customer Experience Mapping:

  • Lead implementation and performance of techniques such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis to identify customer pain points, challenges, and hurdles; advise on approaches to eliminate negative experiences and enhance customer interactions.

Personal Capability Building:

The role:
We’re looking for a talented and experienced senior design architect. You will be involved in the design from Stage 1 to Stage 4 on major projects that reflect dhk’s leading reputation as a design-led studio. Your portfolio must showcase your ability to take a concept sketch and turn it into a fully expressed design, demonstrating innovative approaches and creative thinking from concept to completion.

Your experience:
We will consider you if:

  1. You are a SACAP-registered Professional Architect with a minimum of ten years post-qualification experience.
  2. You can demonstrate a fine eye for design with creative flair and elegant articulation.
  3. You have led projects and managed teams, applying your extensive design skills to achieve sophisticated design outcomes.
  4. You have a sound understanding of technical and commercial feasibility.
  5. Your experience includes involvement in projects from design stage to construction, with a track record of working on complex, large-scale projects in various sectors.
  6. You can balance a strong aesthetic sensitivity with thorough technical knowledge.
  7. You have an intimate understanding of building systems and materials, alongside detailed knowledge of industry standards and codes.

Other requirements:
• Fluent in English.
• Prepared to travel when necessary.
• Eligible to work in South Africa.
