qualified HVAC & Refrigeration Technician
to join our team.
Requirements:
- Recognized trade qualification in HVAC & Refrigeration.
- Valid Category B Gas Practitioner License (SAQCC Gas).
- Traceable references and proven track record.
- Solid experience with commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Strong knowledge of freezer rooms, blast freezers, and spiral freezers.
- Hands-on experience with chillers, cold rooms, VRF/VRV systems, and air handling units (AHUs).
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and commission systems to OEM standards.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain a professional attitude.
- Strong commitment to safety standards, compliance, and quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and service commercial and industrial HVAC & refrigeration systems (chillers, cold rooms, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems, freezer rooms, blast chillers, and spiral freezers).
- Troubleshoot and repair faults on evaporators, fans, pumps, electrical panels, and control systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance on refrigeration plants, freezers, and HVAC equipment.
- Perform fault diagnosis on both mechanical and electrical systems, including control wiring.
- Leak detection and repair of refrigerant systems, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Monitor and adjust system parameters such as superheat, sub-cooling, and pressure settings.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Validate and maintain temperature consistency in freezer rooms and spiral freezers through defrost cycles, insulation checks, and airflow management.
- Ensure proper system efficiency and data logging for cold storage compliance.
- Maintain accurate job cards, service reports, and technical documentation.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Provide customer support and technical updates to clients on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time.
- Stay updated with industry technologies, standards, and best practices.

Relevant technical qualification - electrical / mechanical.
At least 3 - 5 years technical (workshop and repairs) experience which include repairs, assembly of equipment, quotations on parts, etc.
