The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing stainless steel structures, piping, tanks, and equipment according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, and install stainless steel components, structures, and piping systems
Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and isometric diagrams
Perform precise fitting, cutting, bending, rolling, and welding of stainless steel
Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing equipment and structures
Ensure all work meets quality standards, tolerances, and safety requirements
Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as grinders, guillotines, rollers, and presses
Perform TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel where required

Parts & Inventory Coordination

· Enforce use of protective covers in all vehicles
· Prevent tools or rags from being left in/on vehicles
· Ensure vehicles are cleaned and inspected before return
· Log pre-existing damage and verify post-work condition
· Instil respect-for-property culture in the team
Administrative Duties
· Maintain accurate job records and timesheets
· Enforce health & safety compliance and cleanliness standards
· Track and report workshop KPIs (e.g. TAT, first-time fix rate, comebacks, productivity)
Requirements:
· Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
· Technician Qualification – Red Seal with hands on experience
· Aged 30 – 45 Years
· Strong Diagnostic, Problem Solving and Mechanical skills – knowledge of Automotive repairs
· Leadership potential with an interest in growing in a Workshop Foreman role.
· Proactive, reliable and able to mentor junior staff effectively
· Minimum years' experience in a workshop – RMI Approved workshop preferred, but not necessary
· Any workshop supervisory or management role experience a bonus
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform well under pressure
· Sound knowledge of health and safety compliance and workshop best practices
