EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)

· Relevant technical training in automotive welding, robotics or production management

· 5–8 years' experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.

· Strong knowledge of welding processes (spot welding, MIG/MAG, laser welding, etc.) and body-in-white assembly.

· Experience with lean manufacturing and quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).

· Familiarity with robotics (e.g., NACHI, KUKA) and automation in body shops is an advantage.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Phased array ultrasonic testing qualification would be advantageous.

Skills:

  • Microsoft Programs
  • Samancor Chrome Systems (IMS, EBMS, Chromedoc, MES, Coupa, SAP)
  • Reading of auto electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the mining industry with extensive knowledge of mining equipment and equipment types in use at Samancor, Eastern Chrome Mines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / N3
  • Section 13 trade certificate.

Additional qualifications:

  • Experience pertaining to CMMS systems is essential.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Computer literacy will be essential.
  • Applicable technical knowledge & experience in relevant maintenance systems

Experience:

3 years' experience in the mining industry with preferably 1-year supervisory experience with specific experience on trackless mobile machinery, washing plants, conveyors & mining equipment
