Overview

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are met in all aspects of the Production process. The Quality Supervisor will ensure that all products meet customer requirements and maintain the integrity of the Production process. The supervisor will also supervise the quality team and ensure that all tasks are completed effectively.

Qualifications
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Relevant Diploma in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and related fields
  • ISO certification
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and related fields
Technical Prerequisite
  • Quality Control and Quality Assurance: Understanding of QMS is critical
  • Reads and interprets quality specification data with understanding of company policies and internal controls
  • Collects and researches data, designs workflows and procedures
  • Proficient in Auto CAD, PolyWorks, Faro programs
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
  • Must fully understand the requirements of the product/material
  • In-depth understanding of quality control procedures/systems and relevant legal standards
  • Good working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Familiar with safety protocols and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong flair for Quality Administration and Reporting
  • Employee and Industrial Relations knowledge
  • Participate and manage in projects where required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all quality aspects and ensure all products conform to the applicable approved standards and specifications
  • Champion the implementation and monitoring of ITAF and make recommendations
  • Investigate and resolve quality non-conformances
  • Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints
  • Investigate internal and external non-conformances and ensure countermeasures are put in place
  • Monitoring and address 4M changes (Man, Machine, Method and Material) with all relevant parties
  • Analyse all defects and take the necessary remedial action
  • Analyse data to identify areas of improvement in the Production process
  • Conduct process and system audits and resolve findings/discrepancies
  • Act as a customer representative and customer support contact
  • Actively participate in maintaining ISO certification
  • Monthly reporting of quality metrics and updating of various quality documents, including test plans and protocols
  • Oversees the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Ensures that all equipment is calibrated on time and maintains calibration register/schedule
  • Maintain customer KPI reporting
  • Monitor adherence to production requirements
  • Implements standards, procedures and processes to meet the required quality standards
  • Develops, maintains and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, customer service and cost savings

Your Contribution
  • Acquire in-depth, hands-on knowledge of product specifications and internal production processes.
  • Assist R&D and Sales by reviewing customer requirements, applicable standards, and associated customer specifications.

Your Profile
  • BS in Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
  • Two (2) years related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the field of optics.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and how to evaluate.
  • Hands on experience with manual measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.) and electronic measurement equipment (vision systems, optical microscopes, comparators, etc.).
  • Experience in product and process audits.
  • Experience in following / maintaining an ISO 9001, 13485, AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Strong analytical ability and a disciplined problem-solving approach.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Effective communication skills: listening, writing, speaking and oral presentations.
