Responsibilities

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The main purpose is to motivate and guide a team of Lab Technicians in order to achieve required outputs against cost, quality, service and people. In addition a Quality Assurance Supervisor must have the ability to conduct trouble shooting and lead improvement projects to be able to deliver better than planned results.

Accountabilities

  • To manage the laboratory testing as well as the staff compliment in the laboratories to ensure that the daily as well as weekly plan is on target.
  • To ensure the optimum utilisation of shift labour by effective labour planning and training and development of employees
  • To follow up on daily NCRs and ensure that the correct process is followed as per procedure including the signing off of NCRs
  • To track effectiveness of product holds by ensuring communication with CDC and production teams
  • To attend daily Quality Wall meetings – process and packaging.
  • To ensure packaging quality is in place per shift: weigh control checks, packet quality assessment, case counts, date code checks during the shift.
  • To sign off Lab calibration checks
  • Provide feedback monthly on training and support requirements.
  • To manage flavour changes in terms of Allergen management.
  • To ensure food safety is maintained through metal detector verifications and audits.
  • To ensure quality through auditing, investigations, troubleshooting, proposing corrective actions, and coordinating projects to foster continuous improvement.
  • To facilitate a smooth shift as well as an efficient shift handover, ensuring that a comprehensive shift report is completed in line with the necessary requirements.
  • To ensure that AIB, food safety and quality standards are maintained throughout.
  • The jobholder must ensure that the achievement of the four KPI's of cost, service, quality and people are maintained as per their PDR.
  • To conduct job observations for improvement.
  • To manage attendance daily including myHub, leave, sick leave.
  • To manage career development discussions.
  • To drive supplier quality assurance on site

Job Purpose

To lead, manage, and maintain the site's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 22000, ISO/TS , FSSC including additional requirements), and ISO The QA/QC Manager ensures product safety, quality assurance, laboratory accuracy, and regulatory compliance, while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and continually improve the FSMS in compliance with standards.
  • Lead HACCP/Food Safety Team meetings and updates.
  • Ensure PRPs (cleaning, pest control, hygiene, water, utilities, building integrity) are effectively implemented.
  • Conduct internal audits, GMP inspections, and prepare for external certification audits.
  • Manage product recall/withdrawal procedures and mock recall testing.
  • Oversee supplier approval and raw material verification.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Promote a food safety culture by training staff on compliance, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 requirements (validation, calibration, traceability, proficiency testing, measurement uncertainty).

Qualification Requirements

Experience Requirements
  • QA/QC Manager from Grain Milling Industry with 3-5 years in both roles

Quality Control Consultant
to join our dynamic QC team. This is
not a lab or product QC role
– instead, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our customer interactions are professional, compliant, and aligned with our standards.


What you'll do:

  • Listen to and analyse call recordings across Sales, Client Care, Lead Generation, and Retentions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to consultants and managers to drive performance.
  • Verify and enhance QC notes with insights that capture the consultant's perspective.
  • Recommend improvements to scripts, compliance adherence, and overall customer experience.


What we're looking for:

  • A
    Bachelor's degree (3 years minimum)
    .
  • Strong communication skills in
    English and Afrikaans
    (other languages are a plus).
  • Someone who is objective, trustworthy, and discreet.
  • Analytical thinker with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Comfortable with call monitoring and quality assurance tools.
  • Organised, innovative, and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of call centre operations and compliance requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Lead with expertise in microbiology, environmental monitoring, and biological testing. The role oversees laboratory operations, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and drives continuous improvement in microbiological quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QC microbiology operations, including sterility testing, microbial identification, and bioburden analysis.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring programs for cleanrooms, utilities, and controlled areas.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, WHO, SAHPRA).
  • Review and approve test results, protocols, deviations, and CAPAs.
  • Train and mentor microbiology analysts, ensuring technical competency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and regulatory teams to support product release and investigations.
  • Drive improvements in laboratory practices, data integrity, and contamination control strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related life sciences field.
  • 6+ years' experience in pharmaceutical microbiology or biological QC testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, environmental monitoring programs, aseptic techniques, and cleanroom standards.
  • Experience with microbial identification systems (e.g., MALDI-TOF, PCR-based methods).
  • Proven ability to manage teams, audits, and cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Microbiology or related field.
  • Experience with vaccines, biologics, or sterile drug product manufacturing.
  • Prior involvement in regulatory inspections.
