JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Administrator is responsible for coordinating, documenting, and supporting quality management activities within the assigned shop. This role ensures that inspection records, quality gate reports, and defect analyses are accurately maintained and communicated to relevant stakeholders. The administrator plays a critical role in supporting the smooth execution of quality systems, assisting with audits, and ensuring that data-driven insights support continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure strict compliance with BAIC SA quality standards, IATF 16949 requirements, and customer specifications within the shop.
· Monitor and manage BIW assembly quality performance, ensuring that structural integrity and fitment standards are achieved.
· Maintain accurate quality inspection records, VIC (Vehicle Inspection Certificate) documents, and BIW defect reports.
· Track, analyze, and report BIW quality KPIs, including defect trends, rework data, and first-time-through (FTT) performance.
· Support and coordinate quality audits, both internal and external, ensuring readiness and compliance with established standards.
· Assist with implementation, follow-up, and closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Coordinate quality gates, ensuring inspection results are captured, escalated, and addressed promptly.
· Provide administrative support for quality review meetings, including preparation of reports, defect dashboards, and action trackers.
· Work closely with inspectors, engineers, and production staff to identify recurring issues and support structured problem-solving activities.
· Manage document control for quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
· Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps, driving root cause analysis, and facilitating implementation of sustainable solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Grade 12
· Relevant Diploma or Certificate in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or Administration (preferred)
· Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO/TS/IATF standards) and document control procedures
· Minimum 2–3 years' experience in an administrative or quality-related role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing environment

Role Purpose

Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
