In this role, you will serve as the critical link between our office, our clients, and the City of Tshwane. You will take full ownership of each client query managing it "from cradle to grave."
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication: Liaise directly with clients to understand and gather all the necessary details of their municipal-related queries.
Municipal Engagement: Personally visit the relevant Tshwane municipal offices (Centurion, Pretoria Town, and others as required) to engage with the specific officials responsible for processing and resolving each case.
Relationship Building: Foster and maintain cooperative relationships with municipal employees to ensure more efficient and timely resolution of queries.
CRM System Use: Utilize our internal CRM system to access and update client files in real-time while in the field. You will be equipped with a laptop for this purpose.

As a Civil Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various civil engineering projects, including roads, sewer systems, and stormwater drainage.
Responsibilities and Skills:

- Strong understanding of engineering principles and processes
- Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines

- Strong technical skills and able to manage projects from Conceptual to Detailed Design, Documentation, and Contract Administration of services for civil infrastructure projects including but not limited to:
- Municipal services i.e Earthworks, Stormwater Reticulation, Sewer Reticulation, Water Reticulation, platforms, and assessments
- Ensure all designs are checked and approved by the relevant manager prior to forwarding to the relevant client and contractor

- Assist with the implementation of medium to large sized projects within technical standards, quality, budgets, and time frames.
- Ensure effectiveness, quality, and profitability of completed projects including project follow-up, to monitor project deliverables and client satisfaction levels
- Site supervision as and when required
- Contribute to the preparation of project reports and proficiency in technical report writing
- A working understanding of project finances and project budgets for medium to large scale projects
- Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades
- Sound Project Management Skills - Liaise, co-operate, and provide required information to clients and stakeholders at various stages
- Preparation of estimates of construction costs (BOQs)
- Preparation of specifications and preambles for construction works (Colto / Coto / SANS / GCC etc.)
Requirements:
- Completed minimum B.Eng or BTech.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- No less than 10 years experience in a similar position within a Consulting Engineering firm (pref)
- Proficient in design packages
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience essential
- Technical knowledge of drawing and design processes
- Project Management experience is essential
