You will be required to spend certain scheduled times at our campus in Cape Town. You will be required to work closely with the Managers of the School and the lecturing team to maintain, develop and grow Red & Yellow's respected programme offering.
This position will require a commitment from the successful candidate of about approximately 20 hours per week - exact times will be confirmed at interview stage.
This is a Cape Town Position. Applicants must be living in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
This position will require, but is not limited , to the following activities:
- Assisting the module lecturer with facilitating contact and distance delivery of module material;
- Guided lecturing and conducting tutorials in accordance with the requirements of the programme outcomes and in accordance with the accredited programme outlines;
- The tutoring of 2/3 of modules per semester (depending on class size);
- Lesson planning, tutorial content and marking tutorials, activities and formative assessments;
- Provide student support for contact and distance learning;
- Participate in the monitoring & evaluation of the academic programme, including attendance and maintenance of student records;
- Conduct marking and participate in the moderation processes;
- Attend regular meetings with respective lecturer, faculty meetings and general staff meetings;
- Ensure both hard and electronic filing of all required documentation, including tracking and reporting on at-risk students;
- Adhere to centralised policies and procedures that ensure outstanding quality and unquestionable integrity of all academic programmes that are offered;
- Attend relevant marketing activities for the school (i.e. Open days etc.)
Qualifications and Experience:
- A BCom degree and currently enrolled or completed Honours/ PG Dip degree in: Accounting / Statistics
- Experience in facilitating student learning, engagement and activities via respective LMS platform would be advantageous.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and to providing the highest quality experience for students
- Tech savvy
- Ability to achieve deadlines
- Experience in conducting research, conducting evaluations and handling confidential documents with discretion.
