Purpose of the job
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Senior Project Manager to join our Cape Town-based Enablement team , working in lockstep with the Campaign Manager and reporting into the broader Channel Marketing function. This role ensures the smooth, structured flow of all campaign and communications work , acting as the operational nucleus between internal teams, delivery stakeholders, and external partners.
You’ll be responsible for managing incoming campaign and communications requests , maintaining a rolling 120-day view , and ensuring timely, resource-aware execution. You’ll also work closely with an external agency supporting migration and registration , keeping them aligned, accountable, and delivering to plan—while partnering with internal BAU teams to ensure business-as-usual and transformation workstreams stay connected and coordinated.
To manage and optimise the workflow of all marketing and communication campaign activity across Channel Marketing—ensuring requests are well-briefed, timelines are realistic, resources are aligned, and delivery is efficient. This includes managing external agency partners , supporting internal coordination, and providing visibility and reporting across delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow & Campaign Traffic Management
- Manage the central intake and triage of campaign and comms requests from across Consumer, Client, Partner, and internal teams.
- Maintain a rolling 120-day calendar, ensuring prioritisation and scheduling is clear and transparent.
- Track progress, assign tasks, and manage delivery timelines using Jira, ensuring dependencies are visible and risks are flagged early.
Collaboration with external agencies
- Act as the day-to-day delivery lead for external agency partners supporting campaign migration and registration activities.
- Keep agencies on track, aligned to timelines, and accountable to deliverables and quality standards.
- Ensure agency outputs are integrated into the wider delivery schedule and processes.
Internal Coordination with BAU Teams
- Partner closely with internal BAU teams to align resource plans, prioritise incoming work, and ensure balance between day-to-day and change projects.
- Flag any conflicts, resourcing constraints, or misaligned priorities early and constructively.
Planning and process Governance
- Use Aha! for intake and brief tracking; coordinate resource assignment and dependencies in Jira.
- Maintain all delivery processes, workflow guides, and campaign documentation in Confluence.
- Partner with the Head of Marketing Operations and Campaign Manager to review delivery against the past 120 days and plan the next 120.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve brief intake, approval workflows, and delivery tracking.
- Bring clarity and simplicity to complex delivery models involving multiple stakeholders and systems.
Key Skills and Experience
- Traffic, project, or operations management experience in a marketing, digital, or comms environment
- Strong working knowledge of Jira , Aha! , and Confluence
- Experience coordinating with external agencies and ensuring performance accountability
- Skilled in aligning and supporting BAU and transformation teams simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
