Purpose of the job:
- To optimise production processes and implement processes improvement. Reporting to: Plant Manager. Subordinates: Production Planner, Production Supervisor, Production Administrator.
Minimum Requirement:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in the field of Production/Operations management or Industrial Engineering Science or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification
- 5 + Years in similar role from the Automotive/Manufacturing industry
Main Responsibilities:
Project Initiation:
- Contribute to project initiation, scope definition and scope change control
- Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub project, monitor and control actual cost against budget
Production Planning:
- Schedule project activities to facilitate effective project execution
Project Management:
- Support the project environment and activities to deliver project objectives
- Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise
- Work as a project team member
Sample / Process Development:
- Conduct new product/process trials, compile trial reports and make suitable recommendation
Process Control:
- Set out production matrices for establishing Line standards
Technical Support:
- Assist production during the phase-in of new products
- Provide a “troubleshooting” service to the factory and the sales force, where technical problem are encountered
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement projects on project processes
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles

- The Production Print Specialist enables and supports sale of Production Print solutions to Franchise customers.

What you bring as a future colleague
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Plant Sciences or (International) Agribusiness Studies;
Some experience in agribusiness and/or (vegetable) seed cultivation;
A passion for plants and an eye for plant-related pests and diseases;
Excellent communication skills in English, and preferably also in Dutch;
Knowledge of Spanish is a plus;
Analytical, practical and solution-oriented;
Willing to travel (within and outside Europe);
Hold a valid driver's license.

They operate in a team-based environment to ensure quality, and safe and efficient, refilling, re-valving, requalifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storage of propane cylinders. Every cylinder is cleaned, leak-tested, inspected, and then delivered to tens of thousands of convenience stores nationwide.

Responsibilities
- Performs Washer functions which includes placing cylinders on conveyer belt, sorting, removing sleeve and peeling label.
- Dispatches cylinders to paint, fill, or rework stations.
- Completes Paint Line operations which includes loading cylinders in tank hanger, applying paint bag applicator, and unloading tank hanger.
- Operates Shot Blast, Tare weight entry station, Capper (data code label), and Stacker (palletizing).
- Manually checks for leaks, weight problems, or sleeve malfunctions.
- Performs cylinder refurb operations based on work station.
- Stacks finished product.
- Checks for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Possess integrity and a good work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
- Ability to work overtime, as required
- Ability to understand basic technical instructions, both written and verbal.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
