Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our client's team in Cape Town. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand
- Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement
- Manage a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation
- Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure stock levels are maintained
- Work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to coordinate production schedules and meet customer requirements
- Implement cost-saving measures to increase efficiency and profitability
- Prepare production reports and present findings to senior management
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or BTech (Food Technology, Operations Management, Project Management.)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven track record of meeting production targets and improving efficiency
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques
