As a Software Engineer, you will be someone whose expertise directly translates into the development of robust software in the e-commerce domain . You will be from a computer science background with an emphasis on software development . The purpose of this position is to develop and implement Inventory plans that will enable the organization to meet Sales and Service objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities- Database Management : Ongoing maintenance of the Forecasting, Purchase Orders and Sales Planning database.
- Reporting : Extraction, generation, and analysis of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly stock reports from the above database, to assess current stockholding, planned orders, sales history, and forecasting of future planned orders.
- Provide real-time reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, for global reporting purposes.
- Planning Requirements : Analyze, assess, calculate, and conclude immediate ST and LT planning requirements of individual SKU’s.
- Ongoing liaison with the Quality department regarding quarantine, short-dated stock, blocked and returned stock, and potential stock releases, to optimize working capital and stockholding levels.
- Implementation of a finalized demand plan and ongoing liaison with suppliers and other relevant third parties.
- Engage with distributors in stock receiving, stock holding, reworking of stock, and stock write-offs.
- Ongoing liaison with agents, to ensure effective forwarding, shipping, clearing, and delivery of stock shipments.
- S&OP: Drive and facilitate S&OP forum.
- NPI: Attend and contribute to NPI forum and collate all necessary information, to provide planning analysis to Quality, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, and Finance teams.
- PROJECTS: Participation in and contribution to ad hoc Supply Chain optimization projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or diploma.
Experience:

Optimize inventory including Demand Driven MRP and related systems development. Manage materials warehouses and storemen.
Minimum Requirements- Relevant 3-year university degree or diploma; CIPS qualification is an advantage.
- Previous experience managing procurement warehousing and logistics.
- Experience managing value chain total cost of ownership.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications.
- Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.
- Strong data analysis skills.

- Assist with clearing shipments and capture imported goods with new costing arranged by the finance department.
- Optimize inventory to support the business objective of reducing net working capital.
- Ensure competent team members reliable systems and adequate planning organizing monitoring and control in inventory management.
- Develop and improve warehousing disciplines and stock control systems.
- Efficiently manage control to prevent stock losses stock-outs and ensure continuity of supply to meet customer demand.
- Analyse and report inventory information.
- Manage daily and weekly stock control.
- Arrange delivery dates with suppliers to prevent overstock and no-stock situations.
- Ensure all items are safely handled stored in the correct warehouses and hazardous stores are well maintained.
- Oversee and coordinate quarterly stock taking as required submitting results and details to the finance department.
- Investigate discrepancies on stock sheets from the finance department and report findings.
- Manage annual stock count during the financial year-end with auditors.
