POSITION SUMMARY

The Health Representative's mission is to provide sales and promotional content and enhance the customer experience to ultimately improve the health outcomes of patients.

The role is responsible for maximizing Pfizer brand growth through promotional activities tailored to the needs of HCPs within the allocated territory.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with customers in-person and virtually to compliantly grow the business and drive product demand, by proactively providing solutions to achieve business objectives and needs
  • Engage on promotional science-based brand messages and other ranges of content (e.g., disease state) to support the HCP in improving patient outcomes and experience
  • Knowledge of customer preferences for content and channels to orchestrate an ideal customer experience through relevant content selection
  • Acts as key Point of Contact for seamless (compliant), reactive only, connection to Pfizer Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) and resources
  • Responsible for onboarding customers to new operating model and platforms (e.g. Digital Engagement Portal)
  • Orchestrate ideal customer experience through relevant content selection, based on knowledge of customer preferences
  • Implement strategies that drive HCP digital engagement adoption

Territory Planning and Management:

  • Develop and execute territory business plan in line with business objectives
  • Track activities of the agreed plan and proactively report any potential barrier to achieve planned activities
  • Recommend creative and innovative ideas/solutions to increase market share within the territory
  • Producing reports according to Health Representative Manager recommendations and market needs.
  • Organize and implement value-added programs across the territory
  • Ensure timely and relevant customer insights and market intelligence is captured and shared via relevant systems

Reporting/Administration

  • Adherence to all Pfizer compliance policies and guidelines

If you are a proactive, forward thinking individual who is looking to gain the experience of working within a dynamic service then this is an opportunity for you.

The post will involve working within the Primary Care Mental Health Service in Inverness and will provide an exciting opportunity to the successful applicant. You will be expected to work within a Multi-disciplinary community based team in partnership with GP, Primary Care , 3rd sector and CMHT colleagues, in the delivery of psychological therapy programs with individuals who present with mild to moderate mental health problems using a strength based recovery focused approach that involves the patient as a partner in their care-planning. The post holder is required to undertake duties including individual sessions as well as collaborative group work. This will involve working in the local GP surgeries and on occasion in other community environments. The service will provide sessional input to GP practices within the cluster areas and form an integral part of the provision of mental health care at Tier 1 level. As well as the usual routes of face to face, telephone and electronic contact it is expected that some of this input will be on a virtual basis so confidence in using digital platforms (e.g. Near Me) is a requirement.

The Centre for Student Health and Wellness division in the Registrar's portfolio, with Primary Healthcare (PHC) Service being provided to students. The department is a nurse-managed facility with a medical practitioner attending to patients on a sessional basis. All nurses are PHC trained, with a dispensing license.

Job Description:

The incumbent will provide comprehensive health and wellness services to students within the university environment. A fully functional PHC service is available on all four campuses, offering the following services: Primary Health Care, HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT), Reproductive Health Care, Travel Health, health promotion, monitoring of chronic medical conditions, provision of medical support to sports events and vaccination programmes to specific students. Interaction with students occurs even outside of the clinic environment with activation programmes and awareness campaigns.

Responsibilities:

The Practitioner II: Primary Health Care Nurse is responsible for the promotion of excellence in the provision of a healthy lifestyle within the Centre for Student Health and Wellness. His/her duties include the following:

  • Provision of a comprehensive Primary Health Care package to all clients daily.
  • Working closely with the Medical Doctor to provide optimum healthcare.
  • Ensuring good Pharmacy Practice.
  • Management of stock controls for equipment and medical supplies.
  • Providing youth-friendly services daily in the facility.
  • Sustain quality assurance throughout the clinic activities.
  • Providing a caring environment for the patients and clients.
  • Ensuring adherence to proper waste disposal techniques.
  • Ensuring adherence to universal principles of infection control.
  • Managing the performance, training, and supervising a team of administrators and Counsellors who are responsible for day-to-day activities.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all policies and procedures relevant to the health facility consistently.
  • Ensuring staff and processes work effectively in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance of all staff with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Controlling & implementing the departmental operational budget.
  • Provision and supervision of health promotion.
  • Management of the SRH&R services.
  • Provision of HAST services, including NIMART.

Minimum requirements

  • NQF 7 Diploma/Degree: General Nursing, Community Health, Psychiatric Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Advanced Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care.
  • Dispensing Licence.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in General Nursing and Primary Health Care Nursing in a Public and/or Private sector.
  • Experience in management of a Primary Health Care unit, including supervision over staff.
  • Extensive experience as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • HIV/AIDS and ART management experience.
  • Health Promotion experience.
  • Reproductive health experience, including the latest developments in Family Planning methods.
  • Good knowledge of legislation related to PHC.
  • Knowledge of Clinical principles in the management of minor ailments.
  • A valid driver's license.

Registered with SANC as a Nurse in General, Community, Psychiatric and Midwifery. Registered with SANC as an Assessor and Moderator.

Post-graduate degree/diploma in Nursing Education.

Post-graduate degree/diploma in Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

At least three years clinical experience in Nursing Practice.

At least three years teaching experience in Nursing or Health Professions Education.

Drivers License

Code 8 Drivers Licence and be willing to obtain a Code 10 Drivers License within six months.
