Job Title: Professional Content Designer

RIB North America is seeking an individual who is committed to writing exceptional master specifications to meet the project and information needs of our subscribers, customers, and clients and is highly organized with substantial attention to detail. The Content Team works together collaboratively and with other departments, using their knowledge of project delivery, construction documents, and materials to provide a wide range of master specification sections for use by design professionals, building product manufacturers, owners, and other project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare RIB SpecLink master guide specification sections in accordance with internal standards, including maintenance of existing content and creation of new content.
- Coordinate with sales department for vetting of potential listings for building product manufacturers (BPMs) and their products in RIB SpecLink master guide specification sections .
- Develop and maintain proprietary specification sections for BPMs.
- Research and analyze manufacturers, products, reference standards, and codes to develop accurate and relevant content with options applicable to a wide variety of facility types.
- Develop master notes to educate and assist specifiers in editing sections.
Required Skills
- 5 years of recent design experience producing construction documents for facility mechanical and plumbing systems including drawings and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or combination of technical training and related experience.
- Working knowledge of CSI construction document principles including application of CSI MasterFormat and SectionFormat.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills, creativity, passion for learning and conveying knowledge to others.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with facility fire protection systems and/or integrated automation.
- Experience maintaining specifications for office masters.
- Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certification.
- Membership and participation in CSI.
- Professional engineering registration.
- Project management or construction contract administration experience.

Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled
SAQCC Registered Practitioner – Mechanical Systems (Maintenance, Service & Repairs
). In this role the SAQCC Registered Practitioner is responsible for performing the maintenance, servicing, inspection, testing, and repairs of mechanical systems in accordance with SAQCC, SANS, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of The incumbent ensures that all mechanical systems operate efficiently, safely, and remain compliant with statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems (including HVAC, pumps, ventilation, fire suppression, and related systems).
- Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and testing in line with SAQCC and SANS standards.
- Execute system repairs, replacements, and adjustments to restore equipment to full functionality.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out safely and adheres to OHS and environmental standards.
- Verify and sign off all work conducted under SAQCC scope with valid practitioner credentials.
- Collaborate with other departments (electrical, civil, plumbing) to ensure integrated maintenance delivery.
- Support internal and external audits and provide technical input on compliance matters.
- Advise management on system condition, potential risks, and required upgrades or corrective actions.
Experience & Qualifications
- Recognised Trade Test Certificate in a mechanical discipline
(e.g., Fitter, Millwright, Mechanical Technician, or equivalent). - Valid
SAQCC Registration relevant to the scope of work (e.g., Gas Practitioner, Fire Detection & Suppression, or Refrigeration). - Proof of current
SAQCC membership registration number and expiry date must be submitted with application. - Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in maintenance, servicing, and repairs of mechanical systems
Soft Skills Required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
