Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily Ammonia refrigeration plant inspection-plantroom, condensers and valve stations
- Assist experienced technician on daily tasks
- Perform preventative tasks when job cards are issued in accordance with time allocations
- Daily rack inspections to prevent potential problems
- Daily documentation before any task given to assistants or contractors
- Operate lifting machinery when required
- Monthly documentation on HSE equipment
- Daily checks on temperature setting of different markets
- Ensure all PPECB protocols are adhered too
- Ensure cold chain protocols are adhered to for energy saving
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or higher
- Ammonia refrigeration Category A certificate
- Minimum 4 years maintenance experience on electrical and mechanical
- Minimum 2 years work experience in an ammonia refrigeration environment

Our client in the automotive sector is looking to employ 2 x Quality Technicians, to conduct Quality Control to achieve Quality Standards and meet customer’s expectations in their plant in Durban on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Maths, Science, Technical Drawing)

Key Performance Areas:
1. Quality Assurance:

- Determine the disposition of quarantined products (pass, reject or rework)

- Lead daily operations across assigned production areas, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met or exceeded.
- Develop and manage high-performing teams, instilling accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement culture.
- Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and capacity management to support short- and long-term business goals.
- Drive and support Lean initiatives including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Continuous Improvement to increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify root causes of issues and implement robust corrective actions.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) including unit hour performance, quality metrics, and budget adherence to identify trends and improvement areas.

- Coordinate with internal logistics teams to ensure effective dock-to-dock material flow and outbound shipment readiness.
- Monitor and improve advanced manufacturing KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), First Pass Yield (FPY), and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Support workforce planning and development initiatives to ensure the availability of skilled labour across all shifts and production units.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations in a complex production environment.
- Proven success in applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as Just-in-Time, Flow, Visual Management, and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Solid experience in capacity and capability planning for short- and long-term operations.
- Demonstrated financial acumen related to cost centre management and budget control.
- Strong ability to motivate, develop, and manage multidisciplinary teams in a production setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of engaging confidently across technical and executive audiences.

Plant Workshop Administrator

Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in plant hire administration, fleet coordination or plant workshop support.
- Proficiency in plant costing, fuel tracking, and payroll data handling.
- Familiarity with internal hire reporting and construction-based operations.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and administrative systems.
Payroll & Financial Administration
- Collect operator timesheets and calculate allowance payments for payroll processing.
- Liaise with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and respond to wage-related queries.
- Log and manage insurance claims for plant and vehicle, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Capture daily plant costs and diesel usage from site logs and operator checklists.
