Required Skills
- Relevant Degree
- 2 to 5 years teaching CIE Physics or Chemistry up to A Levels
- 2 to 5 years teaching hands-on practical experience in setting up and conducting Cambridge Practicals
- Knowledge and/or experience in IEB will be an advantage
- SACE registered
- Demonstrate planning and organisation
- Work well under pressure
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work within departmental team dynamics
- Computer and digital proficiency required

Qualifications

Job Purpose:
The role of a Lecturer is the delivery of training and education of students; student consultations; the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development; whilst providing overall support to Academic department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Presenting content in a classroom environment (online or physical, as required)
- Arranging for consultations with students.
- Results analysis at a modular level.
- Marking assessments and providing constructive feedback
- Employing interventions for at-risk students.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Education Honours degree in Foundation Phase or intermediate phase or a postgraduate degree in Education at NQF Level 8.
- The module to be lectured must be a core component of the candidate's NQF 8 qualifications.
- Must be specialising in Natural Science and Technology
- Evidence of school teaching experience or tertiary-level lecturing experience is required.
Preferred Additional Competencies:
- Relevant work experience specific to the qualification.
- Experience in lecturing or online tutoring in areas aligned to the qualification.
