Our client is seeking a Specialist Physician (Internal Medicine) for 4 months. If you're HPCSA-registered and open to a short-term opportunity in one of South Africa's most beautiful coastal towns, we'd love to hear from you

 Location: Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape

Duration: 4 Months (
November 2025 – End February 2026)

Role: Specialist Physician

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance Team as Principal Management Accountant.

  • Ensure proper identification of refugees and migrants during the health assessment and record all relevant health information in standard forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the recorded information.
  • Perform treatment for TB and sexually transmitted infections and provide support to the HIV and counselling activities. Support to oversee and coordinate the management of TB cases to ensure effective TB treatment.
  • Support to oversee and coordinate accurate and effective provision of immunization and presumptive treatment programmes in full compliance with the technical guidelines and protocols of the resettlement countries. Assist Senior Migration Health Physician in monitoring, supervising and educating all staff in the delivery of these programmes.
  • Contribute to and maintain a system of quality improvement for each service area within the MHAC. Support quality control activities on a regular basis, including practice observation, desk audits and use of self-assessment tools. Use data analysis and web reporting system to monitor performance indicators. Support to ensure implementation of the global IOM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); support to create and implement Pretoria MHAC specific SOPs for each service area. Support to ensure proper reporting and management of incidents according to the Guidance Note for Incident Management.
  • Support to organize systematic collection, processing and analyses of migration health data according to guidelines established by the Chief Migration Health Officer. Support to ensure data quality. Provide periodic, as well as ad-hoc reporting to the Senior Migration Health Physician for Migration Health activities.
  • Support to ensure that all data related to heath assessment programmes is appropriately entered to Migrant Management Operational System Application (MiMOSA) and other related databases.
  • Where appropriate support the financial aspects of the MHAC in close coordination with the mission's finance staff: suggest adjustments and cost-effective solutions.
  • Where appropriate support the procurement of medical equipment, vaccines, medications and other medical supplies in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

Education, Experience And/or Skills Required

  • University degree in Medicine from an accredited academic institution with at least four years of professional work experience.
  • Valid license to practice in South Africa is mandatory.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience to perform immigration medical examinations.
  • Professional continuous clinical experience, preferably in a multidisciplinary hospital setting. The last clinical posting should be within the last three years.
  • Good knowledge of clinical medicine.
  • Excellent bedside manner.
  • Knowledge of patient safety and infection prevention and control.

Languages

  • Fluency in English (oral and written) and common local languages spoken in South Affrica.

In your role as a volunteer physician you can offer:

The Hematology/Oncology Division is part of a growing Cancer Center of Excellence, integrating clinical care and clinical investigation in state-of-the-art facilities.The Division of Hematology/Oncology at UMass Memorial Medical Center and the UMass Chan Medical School is a growing Division of 28 board certified Physicians and 31 Advanced Practice Providers.We seek Hematology/Oncology physicians with subspecialty expertise in Thoracic Head and Neck.* Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient specialized, multidisciplinary care in Hematology/Oncology. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pain Medicine Physician at PAIN Collective in Gauteng, and involves providing service in Roodepoort and Fourways branches. The role involves managing and treating patients with painful conditions such as Arthritis, Neurological Pain, Back and Neck Pain, among others. Duties include performing non-surgical interventions like injections, nerve blocks, and collaborating with other pain specialists for comprehensive patient care. Full in-house training is provided leading to formal training and qualification in interventional pain management.

  • Registration as an independent practitioner with the HPCSA
  • Registration for private practice with practice number at the BHF

Position Overview
As a Physician Laser Associate you are the to the go-to laser expert in this studio. Your responsibilities include administering safe laser treatments, educating clients on the removal process, and overseeing various laser and operational activities. Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective laser treatments adhering to Removery protocol.
  • Ensure compliance with Removery standards for safety protocol, treatment guidelines, and client information and records.
  • Establish trust with clients through excellent customer service while communicating realistic expectations and treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain a high level of accountability while collaborating with the studio team to achieve key performance indicators and foster a positive studio culture.
  • Perform light cleaning duties and manage administrative tasks, as needed, to ensure smooth studio operations and client experience.

Position Requirements

  • Physician licensed in the state of Louisiana
  • Reliable transportation to commute to your home studio and/or other designated locations, as needed.
  • Effective and client centric communication style.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Out of state travel for training may be required
  • Must be able to sit for hour long increments.
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs. or more repetitively.
  • High level comfort with treating and interacting with the human body.
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Strong wrist dexterity and strength with the ability to operate a laser and computer/office machinery (required use of hands, fingers, arms)
  • Be able to visually assess the client's skin and use visual abilities while operating the laser
  • Ability to meet employment eligibility requirements.
