UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Lab team. This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role is essential for delivering safe, efficient care to patients undergoing EP procedures. This full-time role involves both EP clinic responsibilities and first assisting in EP lab procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-procedure EP patient consultations in the clinic, including obtaining histories and ordering studies, labs, and diagnostics.
Manage post-procedure follow-ups and wound checks in clinic.
Perform detailed chart reviews to assess patient readiness and identify clinical concerns before procedures.
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nursing staff, and procedural teams to optimize patient care and procedural planning.
Provide vascular access (arterial and/or venous) and serve as first assist during EP lab procedures, adhering to scope of practice and protocols.
Document assessments, interventions, and communications in the Epic EMR system.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to promote best practices in cardiovascular care.
Assist with post-procedure care coordination.
Qualifications:
Masters degree
Graduate of approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with certification.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Provider experience in cardiology, especially in Cath/EP lab, critical care, or procedural medicine preferred.
Proficiency in vascular access techniques strongly preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Experience withEpic EMRis a plus.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Orthopedics Hand , UMass
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) opportunity to join the Division of Orthopedic Hand Surgery at UMass Memorial Health. This is a full-time outpatient position, consisting of 40 hours per week, no weekends, no holidays, no call.
Position Summary:
Conducts comprehensive health assessments, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of complex responses of individual, families, and communities to actual or potential health problems. Formulates clinical decisions to manage acute and chronic illnesses and promote wellness.
Integrates education, research and management, leadership and consultation into clinical role and functions in collegial relationships with nursing peers, physicians, professionals, and others who influence the health care environment. Provides health care in accordance with standards of practice as delineated by state practice guidelines and national board certification organizations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Providing diagnostic and assessment services within our orthopedic outpatient clinic located at the University Campus.
- Evaluate new, follow-up, and post-operative patients, order appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments, and coordinate any subsequent follow-up care.
- Analyzing data collected to determine health status and identify differential diagnoses based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings.
- Partners with physicians regarding proposed plan of care. Formulates this plan of care with the patient.
- Manages therapeutic regime as outlined by established protocols for patients with acute illnesses. (Protocols are guidelines concerning patient care that are established between the physician and APP. The guidelines outline subjective and objective findings, treatment plan and follow–up procedures). The APP will reassess and modify plan as necessary to achieve medical and health goals. Confers with physician for clinical direction as outlined by protocols.
- Documents patient care outcomes to determine effectiveness of plan of care.
- This is an outpatient position, full-time position, no weekends, no holidays, no call.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Medical license, DEA registration
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Major Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents a complete history and physical examination, including review of the available medical record, to formulate diagnoses and treatment plan.
- Orders and reviews appropriate laboratory tests and imaging studies.

- Prescribes and/or administers oral or parenteral medication to inpatients or outpatients in accordance with state law, UMMHC policy, and as provided in the Delineation of Privileges and Guidelines for Prescribing, which are in place for each individual Physician Assistant and Supervising Physician.
- Orders routine nursing care, diet orders, and orders for allied health services, including speech, respiratory, and physical therapy.
- Provides counseling and teaching, related to the management and prevention of disease, for patients and family members. Serves as liaison with discharge planners or with other agencies providing post-hospital care; accurately completes patient discharge instructions and/or discharge summaries.
- Actively maintains all required credentials, including state licensure, state controlled substance registration, federal DEA registration, NCCPA certification, BLS and ACLS certification, as appropriate in each practice setting. This includes logging CME and completing re certification examinations as required for maintenance of the NCCPA certificate.
- Serves as a resource for the teaching, training and orientation of students and colleagues. Participates in clinical research, and contributes to clinical conferences, rounds, and quality-control meetings, as appropriate in each practice setting.
- Promptly completes all outstanding medical records as required by the needs of each clinical service.
- Evaluates patients in outpatient clinics or in the Emergency Department, accurately documenting each encounter, and communicating with the Supervising Physician according to UMMHC policy.
- Provides emergency care, as required, according to BLS and ACLS protocols.
- Demonstrates a commitment to on-going quality improvement; complies with institutional and departmental policies and procedures; complies with health and safety regulations; performs other similar and related duties as required and directed.

Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Massachusetts license, issued by the Physician Assistant Board, and current NCCPA certification.
- If prescribing medications is included in clinical duties and privileges, Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration are required.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Medipost Pharmacy is looking for 6 CCMDD General Assistants Clinical in the Production Department. The roles will report to the CCMDD Operations Manager.
Operational ManagementDaily stats:
- Daily requirement of a general assistant clinical stats minimum of 500 totes per day.
- GA need to achieve the above mentioned daily targets each day.
Daily errors in picking:
- Limiting picking errors to below 1.5% of your totes picked per month to avoid unnecessary time wasted to fix the miss picks.
- Double totes found in one picking box.
Paying attention to detail:
- The GA to ensure that the medication is picked according to the tote; this includes correct items, strength and quantity needed.
- Focus is crucial to ensure all information corresponds with the tote, if all is correct the parcels need to be put on the appropriate shelf.
- Ensure that you pick according to priority, or as instruction was given.
Order of boxes that need to get packed onto the shelf:
- SLA gets packed first onto the shelf.
- Followed by the back dates next to the SLA.
- Lastly the new date gets packed next to the back dates.
- GAs need to adhere to the SLA each day.
If there are no boxes, workflow will have boxes sent down and then the GAs will help pack totes into the correct boxes.
GAs need to prioritize their work.
When there are no totes:
- When the General Assistants have picked the daily amount put on the shelf from workflow then workflow will confirm no more totes will get packed.
- The GAs will then be sent to help out at other departments and only allocated personnel will stay behind to pick SLA live claims.
Scanning process of totes:
- A GA may take a maximum of one line of boxes and then pick it and only after picking.
- The GA will be required to finish picking the totes before fetching more boxes.
- The picker may not start work and then leave the work and go out of the building.
- The GA must ensure that they have not left any boxes behind and what they have picked has been completed.
Stock challenges whilst picking:
- GAs may find empty bins whilst they are busy picking.
- If a GA finds an empty bin, they need to circle the item name on the tote and then put To-Follow letters next to the item and place it on the picked shelves.
- Most of the medication has alternative bin numbers.
- The GA must ensure that they have checked every bin number listed on the tote for the specific item before writing it as a To-Follow.
Once the stock has been put into the box the person in charge of the To-Follow shelf will be responsible to put the box on the Fine-Pick shelf.
- There should be no boxes on the floor.
- No totes should be left by the computers.
- There are allocated personnel who do housekeeping on a daily basis.
- No medicine should be left on the floor.
