Position Summary:
The Manager of Organizational Development and Administrative Support at Special Olympics Africa Region is responsible for overseeing regional organizational development functions, including accreditation, grants management, board and national director support, and program development to ensure sustainable and well-governed programs. Additionally, the role provides administrative support to senior leadership, coordinates regional events, manages staff calendars and meeting documentation, and supports planning and language translation efforts. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe position is central to enhancing regional operations and local program development, ensuring the organization's programs are sustainable, well-governed, and aligned with its mission.
Organizational Development Responsibilities- Managing regional OD functions such as accreditation, compliance, and census activities.
- Overseeing grants management by conducting needs assessments, providing technical support during proposals, tracking implementation, reporting, and managing the regional grants database.
- Supporting local program development through board management, including updating member databases, tracking training needs, monitoring board rotations, and reporting major changes to senior leadership.
- Assisting National Directors/CEOs by maintaining updated lists, tracking training needs, monitoring turnover, and informing senior leadership of any changes.
- Managing and monitoring single-year action plans and progress towards global and regional goals, providing quarterly updates.
- Handling the regional Programs’ snapshots and supporting other OD functions as assigned by senior leadership.
- Providing administrative support primarily to the President and Managing Director (PMD) and other senior leaders as required. Responsibilities encompass:
- Leading logistics for the regional annual leadership conference and other events in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Monitoring updates to the regional staff team calendar.
- Acting as secretary during staff meetings.
- Collaborating with the regional planning officer to track quarterly submissions of annual planning tools and ensure deadlines are met.
- Providing language translation support as needed.
- A degree in organizational development, business administration, or an equivalent field.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience plus Three to Five years of relevant work experience. Experience and/or coursework in the area of organizational development, business administration or an equivalent field is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Change Management Advisor to lead the people and organisational change aspects of our GRC software implementation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth and sustainable adoption of new technologies and processes across. The Change Management Advisor will work closely with the Diligent One implementation team to support client deployments of GRC software, driving engagement, managing stakeholder expectations, and reinforcing long-term change.

Working hours: 07:30 to 16:00 or 08:00 to 16:30 when in the office and will ideally understand that there may be times that they need to work overtime on projects. When based at client sites, the individual will need to work the working hours stipulated by the client.
Key Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Planning: Design and implement a comprehensive change management plan tailored to GRC software deployment. Conduct impact analyses, readiness assessments, and stakeholder segmentation. Build and maintain a change roadmap, integrating key deliverables with project milestones and business readiness targets.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across client departments. Act as a liaison between the Implementation team, Project Management team and end users to promote engagement and alignment.
Communication & Engagement: Develop and execute communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and involved. Draft clear and compelling communications such as program briefs, FAQs, email updates, executive presentations, infographics, and stakeholder reports.
Training & Capability Development: Collaborate with implementation leads to ensure effective knowledge transfer and user enablement. Ensure the development of user manuals, SOPs, quick reference guides, e-learning modules, and job aids tailored to impacted roles.
Change Readiness & Adoption: Identify potential areas of resistance and develop strategies to address concerns. Monitor adoption and manage feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Required Experience
- Completed Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Change Management or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in change management, ideally within software or IT transformation
- Strong project management skills and ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
- Proven track record of delivering successful change in the private and public sector.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder influencing skill.
- Certification in Prosci, APMG, or similar change methodologies is a plus.
- Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., TeamMate, Barnowl, Cura or similar platforms).
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM) is a plus.
