The business operates 15 bases and 6 offices, across 25 legal entities in 20 countries and in 11 currencies.

The role

The Finance Processing Executive will work closely with a variety of staff from different geographical locations & alongside the wider Finance Processing team. The role will report directly to the Head of Finance Processing and work closely with the team lead and key office and base employees who are assigned as approvers of purchase orders & invoices. It also includes ensuring that all supplier invoices are recorded in SAP as soon as received and processed in accordance with the company authorisation matrix. Supplier payments are raised in accordance with the agreed payment criteria and any weekly business critical requests are managed. Supplier statements are reconciled regularly, accounts are kept up to date and queries are dealt with promptly & efficiently.

What You’ll Do:
  • Accurately verify invoices in Kofax (OCR system)
  • Ensure that supplier invoices are registered in SAP (accounts system) as soon as received & all liabilities are accounted for as soon as possible and in the correct accounting period.
  • Manage the coding and approval of invoices from the business in accordance with the company authorisation matrix.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders where applicable.
  • Manage the supplier payments & payment process including any business-critical requests.
  • Manage information requirements for any new suppliers in accordance with our audit and compliance regulations.
  • Perform monthly statement reconciliations for supplier accounts.
  • Work with the wider Finance Processing team and assist colleagues during period of absence / increased workload for other locations and offices.
  • Manage aged creditors review and ensure that any queries on supplier accounts are recorded and cleared as soon as possible.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end Accounts Payable , including invoice processing and supplier payments. Experience in accounting, finance, or similar roles.
  • Skilled in handling day-to-day transactions like payment preparation and data updates
  • Familiar with invoice coding and approval processes as per company policy
  • Comfortable working with finance teams, suppliers, and cross-functional customers
  • Solid understanding of purchase orders , overheads, and prepayments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAP and Kofax is a plus
  • Exposure to different roles within a finance team is preferred
  • Proficiency in French (both spoken and written) is required for this role, and knowledge of German would be an added advantage.

  • Assemble budgets in line with Build it strategy, growth plans and special projects.
  • Manage the regional cost centre and related regional Guild expenses within budget.
  • Ensure that principles of good corporate governance are practiced in the region as defined in various Group policies and Code of Ethics.
  • Lead and organize all regional Build it events/meetings including regional look & learns, members meetings, cell meetings and regional AGM’s.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite.
  • Relevant business-related tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Executive/Senior Management (equivalent to Patterson EL/DU band).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience specific to the building and hardware retail industry, with a track record of strong Customer Care focus.
  • Excellent financial and business acumen.
  • Track record of meeting operational objectives and customer expectations.
  • Personal characteristics: high energy, self-starter, collaborative, attention to detail, exceptional communication and relationship building skills, ability to handle pressure.
  • Personal values: honesty, integrity and reliability.
  • Ability to listen, consult, motivate, encourage, and influence others.
  • Skilled in conducting commercial negotiations, facilitating agreements, and managing conflict.
  • Emotional maturity and resilience is essential.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Public speaking/presentation ability to large crowds.
  • Driver’s Licence.

  • Previous Government Sector / Retail Pharmaceutical/Medical sales experience.
  • Experience in a Medical background, an advantage.
  • Sales drive and goal-orientated.
  • Own transport essential.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English. Second and third language beneficial.
  • Ability to travel.
