POSITION INFO:
Our Client a Global tech firm is seeking an OT Architect (Operational Technology) – Mining to join their team in Johannesburg on a contact basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and a great working environment.
The role is accountable for developing Architecture within Digital Technology (DT) across the Operational Technology (OT) domain. This role's purpose is to select new technologies and the effective design of platforms to achieve the required business value via sound architecture principles.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the global process to manage new technology ideas and demands, providing research, analysis, design review and recommendations to leadership.
- Provide design support to projects and business groups to ensure efficient and safe technology architectures are delivered.
- Proactively managing global leader stakeholders in a matrixed organization; developing a trusted advisor and teaming approach.
- Collaborating with the team to identify, select and implement appropriate solutions.
- Monitor and research emerging innovation with a view to determining functionality that may provide business values.
- Full technology solutions architecture lifecycle, including requirements-gathering, vendor selection, design, costing, and non-functional optionality
- Formidable team working skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams
- Experience in the effective and efficient operation of IT / OT infrastructure and applications services in multi-national companies
- Experience in delivery that includes the use of external supplier and offshore resources
- Experience in the development of technology and system strategies and roadmaps to address business strategy.
- Experience in the development of effective standards and policies governing IT / OT matters.
- Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across a culturally and geographically diverse organization.
- Proven business and financial acumen.
- Experience in the mentoring and development of staff members
- Bachelor's Degree in IT / OT related fields
- Preferably with mining experience
- 8+ years in a corporate IT / OT environment, in senior leadership roles
- 8+ years' experience in IT /OT technology architecture
- Experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation, and infrastructure)
- TOGAF or equivalent Architecture qualification
- MDP / MBA or equivalent management qualification
- Seniority level Mid-Senior level

Our Client, a Global Tech firm, is seeking a Business Support Specialist – Operational Technology Sustainability to join their team in Rosebank (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite) on a contract basis. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates, and a great working environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with different stakeholders at the various operations to have a good understanding of the operational technologies for sustainability and capital projects.
- Engage with the manager, Business Process Custodian (BPC), and Regional Process Owners (RPOs) on continuous business improvement opportunities.
- Focus on Continuous improvement rather than day-to-day incidents.
- Analyse business requirements, interpret and capture them in a business requirements document (BRD).
- Assist in the functional preparation of Business Process Procedures and Documents, Test Scenarios, End-user documentation, and User manuals.
- Effective management of Incidents/Requests/Changes/Problems and Config requirements.
- Identify gaps in current global/local business processes and ensure optimization.
- Participate in regional governance structures.
- Review quality assurance activities for the functional area, i.e., regression testing, testing of change requests, and bug fixes.
- Work with the Business Lead to manage requirements from third-party non-SAP suppliers, i.e., interfaces to the application.
- Work with the Global Access and GRC team to ensure process optimization, regional “fit,” and compliance with statutory requirements, legislative regulations, policies, work standards, and governance requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Compliance with all processes for all incidents, requests, and changes (e.g., Manage Requirements, Critical Incident process, etc.).
- Ensure all global and regional vendors deliver against all agreed SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with all IM and policies and report on all matters pertaining to non-compliance.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, King IV, and all other relevant governance requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with IM PMO processes (e.g., gate reviews, etc.).
- Maintain good inter-departmental relationships.
- Participate in Monthly Incident, Request, Problem, Change, and Project Review Meetings.
- Staff development via formal training where required.
- Strategic roadmap agreed with requested initiatives delivered against expectation.
- Timeous completion of ad hoc requests.
- Timeously update, maintain, and action all items on SysAid.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Relevant Technical/IT Degree or Diploma.
- At least 5 years’ experience in ESH and ESG processes or similar role.
- In-depth understanding of the Sustainability landscape.
- Experience in change management, system integration, and solution design - Global experience.
- Appreciation of technology accountable for knowledge of requisite processes for area of accountability.
